5 Hairstyles That can Change Your Entire Face
These hairstyles will completely change your face. Bad breakup? The desire for change? Well, don’t worry you’re going to go from Heather to Becky with good hair.
A hairstyle can change a face for the good, but also for the worst, so make sure to follow these steps, and become a different person.
Remember, hair grows – and if you not like a hairstyle, it will grow out.
1) Bangs
This hairstyle will dramatically change your face, and make you look younger. A good, straight cut will soften the contour of the face. You can leave the side pieces to graze your cheekbones, to create an illusion of contour, if the straight cut is not for you.
Advice: If you have a longer face, do not blunt cut, go for a more soft shape to balance the natural angular jawline. If you have a round face, got for straight-edges heavy fringe with longer side pieces.
2) Change Your Hair Part
Now, are you not brave enough to make a drastic change? Then this simple hairstyle hack can completely change your face. A lot of celebrities will change their part, to make it softer, or evoke a more dramatic effect.
If you shift your part to the side, it becomes softer on the features, and on top of that, if you go against growth; it emphasizes the part.
A zig-zag part, will liven up and lighten the look of the hair and disguise regrowth or grey hairs that you may have.
Without undergoing a drastic haircut, you can completely change your entire look, by simply changing the way you part your hair.
On the right, Cara Delevingne’s features look soft, whilst in the middle, since the side of her face is slightly covered, it comes across as a more intense, fierce but natural look.
3) Chop!
The next hairstyle is a drastic one, and definitely something to think about. #NoRegrets
Now if you’re considering a summer chop (especially after having long, flowy hair during quarantine) – you’re not the only one.
A chop will not only promote hair growth, and create a healthier appearance, but will be easier to take care of, and lighter on the head.
On top of that, nothing can replace the cathartic feeling of embarrassing a new hairstyle. Hair seems like a silly thing to have control over, but it’s a decision that can make you more powerful. What’s also good for this, is that you don’t have to have a specific face shape to cut your hair ultra-short, it fits everyone.
Now, if you’re thinking about it, then go for it. If you’re skeptical; remember this is a totally reversible life decision. You could even become a short-hair convert. Short hairstyles will not make you any less attractive. Anyone who says it will swing by my house later and we will have a long, stern discussion about patriarchy, misogyny, and controlling the beauty standard.
So, if you have wanted to go for a short hairstyle for ages and just haven’t been able to muster up the nerve, I hope I have furthered the process a bit for you.
4) Blonde-Brunette or Vice-Versa
Am I the only one who looks in the mirror and tries to picture myself with different hair colors? From candy-cotton pink at the tips to becoming a fully platinum blonde. My imagination runs wild, depending on my mood, but am I brave enough to let my hairstyles follow?
As a natural brunette, I’ve dreamed about bleaching my hair blonde into oblivion for many years. This is me living through you, and urging you to go for it!
When you go from a brunette hairstyle to a blonde hairstyle, you will definitely stand out more – depending on your features. Becoming blonde, will make you look younger, and emphasize your facial features if they are on the dark side.
Fun Fact: being blonde could generate more money for you, depending on your job, where you live, and the circles you hang around.
Now I know, most of us want a hairstyle change when we are feeling down, whether we realize it or not. Your subconscious is driving your hair color, and this change could shift your feelings into a more positive direction (i.e. feeling of worthiness and energy).
If however, you are a blonde wanting to a brunette hairstyle, then pay close attention to the steps you must take.
1) DO IT!
Being brunette is being sweet like chocolate, and when it comes to chocolate there are many flavors. So much versatility and colors, and hairstyles to choose from, and most of all; it’s much healthier for your hair than bleach.
Being brunette also emphasizes some features by casting shadows over them. This makes the face look skinnier, shedding a couple pounds off the face. Plus, having long brunette hair makes you look like a Disney princess, and who doesn’t love Beauty and the Beast?
5) Perm
This is by far my favorite option to not only change your hair and face- but completely change your look and vibe. (Best for last, Always). Going from curly to straight is an option, but we are going to focus on straight to curly, because wow, who doesn’t envy curls with tight beautiful bouncy curls? Unfortunately for us, straight, flat-haired girls, getting a full head of curls to involve; heat, time, money, and sometimes very uncomfortable sleeping – all this for it to last a good hour.
So, if you get a curly perm, your hair will be more voluminous, making you look more natural, and healthier. The curly hairstyles are also so much cuter; messy buns, thick braids. We stan a beautiful head of curls!
I encourage every person who is considering a radical change to go for any of the changes mentioned! Life is too short to look the same everyday! Consider this your sign to change, as I myself just booked a hairstylist. Guess which change I will be going for?
All I have to say is “Go for it!”
Please share with your friends if you know they need a change! Also, feel free to leave a comment, and share your next hairstyle.
Hi everyone! My name is Sheloma - a name my father made up. “She” because I was a girl and the rest inspired by the meaning of peace in Jewish (Shalom). According to ancestry.com, I am Greek, French, Italian, Romanian, and Asian but conforming to my education and the way I was brought up, I am 100 percent Romanian. I am 18 years old, born in March, and definitely a Pisces. My birthday is on the day we celebrate women internationally. I was born in Singapore, moved to France after one year, then to Qatar where I attended a British school. Which is why I say “petrol” instead of “gas” and “mum” instead of “mom”. After that, we moved to France where I studied at an International School, needless to say, that these were some of the best years of my life. I now live and go to school in Houston. Though I have an ENTJ personality, the “chief” personality I feel like an introvert. I like learning about religions and honoring all the gods as well as myself and the universe. Yoga is my higher power and my spirituality. I am a fitness/health enthusiast. I love training and working out in many different ways. Lifting weights is my favorite but I also enjoy, running, boxing and swimming. Traveling is my oxygen and if you know me, you know I’m not exaggerating. I love going to places and merging the cultures with my own, interacting with people, and the environment.
