Hair Products Your Head Will Thank You For
Hair products come in all different shapes and sizes, but how do you know what you’re using is good for you? Protect those luscious locks. Hair comes in all different textures and colors. Depending on if your head of hair is straight or curly, or thin or thick, the product you need to use will differ. A huge factor that comes into play when taking care of your hair is if you get it colored or not. Blondes require different products than brunettes, and salon-treated hair requires different maintenance than box-dyed. Luckily, I’ve put together the best products for maintaining your hair depends on your texture, color, and volume.
Living Proof Dry Shampoo
Having thin, oily hair, I’ve tried every dry shampoo brand under the sun. Most show little to no results or leave your hair with a layer of “dust” on it. I spent so much money testing out brands I thought would help save my hair and allow me to wash it less often, but there was never a product that shocked me until trying Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo. Though it’s on the pricier side, it’s without-a-doubt worth it. The value size (7.3 oz) sells for $36.00 from Sephora, and is promised to last you for weeks. My hair truly has never looked more voluptuous or fresh. I prefer showering the day before I go out so that I can use this while I get ready because of how great it leaves my hair looking.

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Butter Masque
During the summer, I live at the beach. Day after day my hair is exposed to enough salt, sand, and sun to last a lifetime. Each night I would get home and spend way too much time combing knots out of every possible section of my hair, and I was sick of it. After reading amazing reviews on Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Butter Masque, I purchased it and it’s now my absolute favorite hair product. It completely revives your hair after a long day and leaves it to feel smooth as well, butter. I use this product about two to three times a week, year-round. I’m obsessed!

Redken Color Extend Shampoo/Conditioner
If you get your hair colored, you need these two products. It’s more expensive than your drugstore Pantene or TRESemmé brands, but that’s because it actually saves the color in your hair. How are you going to pay $200 at the salon for your hair but only spend $8 on products? Not anymore. Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner range from about $20-$50 a bottle, but it’s well worth it. If you have blonde hair, I highly recommend using the Redken Color Extend Blondage. I have blonde hair, and the color of my hair is much brighter and blonder after using these two products together. After just one use, my hair looks salon-fresh. If you color your hair and don’t use this product, why are you even bothering?

Redken Iron Shape 11 Heat Protectant Spray
Yes, another Redken product. What can I say? They truly are the best. If you’re like me, you use heat on your hair a lot, and by a lot, I mean every single day. Hairdryers, curlers, and straighteners are completely damaging our locks, but of course, we don’t want to stop using them. How else would we style our hair? Luckily we don’t have to stop. Redken’s Iron Shape 11 Heat Protectant Spray is the best way to protect your hair from heat damage. Not only does it protect your hair from heat, but it also repairs already-damaged hair while adding the perfect amount of shine. For $20 this product will save your head!

Sexy Hair Big Sexy Spray & Play Hairspray
After styling your hair, you’re gonna need a spray to keep it all in place. How else will you get those curls to stay bouncy all night? Sexy Hair’s Big Sexy Spray & Play Hairspray is my go-to hairspray. The best thing about this product is that it doesn’t leave your hair feeling hard and crunchy at the end of the night like most sprays do. It keeps your hair perfectly in place for hours, even noticing full curls in my hair after sleeping on them all night. It dries super fast after applying and adds the perfect shine to your hair. Paul Mitchell Flexible Style Sculpting Foam
When styling my hair, I always like to add a mousse into the routine. Mousse helps to add texture to your hair, instead of letting it just fall flat.
