10 Great Places To Take Your Date In Dallas

Sometimes figuring out where to take your date is harder than actually finding a date. With so many things to do in Dallas, it can be hard to decide where to take your significant other. If you tired of the same dinner and movie dates every weekend and feel like spicing up date night, you are in luck. Here are 10 great places in Dallas that are perfect for date night.

1. Galleria Ice Rink

Ice skating is a popular activity up north but isn’t as big in Texas. Going to the Galleria ice rink is a great way to have fun and get to know your potential soul mate. You don’t even need to be good at ice skating to have a good time here. For only 15 dollars per person, you can rent a pair of skates and skate as long as you want. It is the perfect way to break the ice (no pun intended) and find out about your date’s interests and future plans.

2. Indoor skydiving

If you want to take your date to the next level, you might want to check out indoor skydiving at iFly in the Dallas suburb of Frisco. This is a perfect date idea for thrill-seeking couples and people who are tired of the same boring date spots. IFly recreates skydiving by putting people in a giant wind tunnel that simulates free falling from an airplane. This is great for people scared of heights but still want to experience skydiving.

This date might be a little more expensive than some of the others on this list but it is well worth it if you have the extra cash. IFly charges 70 dollars for 2 flights per person which are still way less than actually going skydiving. This is a very unique date idea that is sure to impress your partner for years to come.

3. Whirlyball

Maybe you are the type of couple that enjoys a little bit of friendly competition. If this is true then whirly ball might just be the perfect date for you. Located in the Dallas suburb of Plano, this obscure game is a mix of lacrosse, basketball, and bumper cars. For 15 dollars per hour per person, you and your partner can go head to head or team up in this bizarre sport. Laser tag is also offered so there are plenty of things to do on this unique date spot.

4. Dallas Zoo

Who doesn’t like animals? The zoo is a perfect way to change up the normal date routine and get in touch with your inner Steve Irwin. There are tons of animals from all over the world and many exhibits to enjoy. The Dallas Zoo is the only zoo in Texas that have koalas as well! This is a great spot for animal-loving couples to go without breaking the bank.

6. Reunion Tower

Reunion Tower is one of the most well-known buildings in the Dallas skyline. What most nonlocals don’t know, is that there is a romantic restaurant at the top of the tower. This wonderful restaurant serves delicious meals while you have a great view of the DFW metroplex. The ball of the building (where the restaurant is located) spins very slowly so you and your date will have a 360-degree view you won’t soon forget.

7. The Texas Theater

This is a landmark theater in the Oak Cliff neighborhood just south of downtown Dallas. The Texas Theater plays many films ranging from classic blockbusters to cult indie films. They do not play new films which makes this theater stand out from the crowd.  The theater is also where Lee Harvey Oswald hid from capture after shooting President John F. Kennedy back in 1963. If your partner is a cinema nerd and likes history, there is no better date destination than the Texas Theater.

Medieval Times is a mix of a Medieval battle tournament and a restaurant.
