Great Night Routine For Your Back To School Schedule
Having a great back to school night routine can help you to be more productive, motivated, and happy throughout your day! It’s a big part of staying healthy as well.
Here’s a great back to school night routine that you can follow along with while enjoying all the amazing, all-around benefits in your life!
Getting Ready For Bed At A Decent Hour
A good, and by good I mean great, back to school night routine begins with getting ready for bed at a decent hour. You want to start your nighttime routine fairly early so you’ll have time to relax, unwind, and prepare yourself for a good night’s sleep.
By “decent hour” I mean to start getting ready for bed a little bit after dinner, so somewhere around 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. would be great! This may seem early to some but if you can do it, it makes all the difference in your back to school night routine.
Shower &/Or Change Into Comfy PJ’s
The first thing you’ll want to do is shower or take a nice bath if you’d like, and change into some comfy PJ’s. If you shower off you’ll feel nice and fresh, and this can really help you to relax after a long day.
Wearing comfy PJ’s to bed is something that can be easily looked over, especially in the busyness and stress that can come along with back to school schedules.
But if you take the time to get and wear nice comfy PJ’s that help you to feel nice and cozy, you won’t regret it. It’ll really put you in the mood to relax and start getting comfy!
Put Your Favorite Essential Oils In A Diffuser
Next grab your favorite essential oils and put a few drops into an oil diffuser. Lavender essential oil works great to help you relax and unwind!
While the oils are diffusing into your bedroom, you can start on your nighttime skin routine. By the time you head back to bed, your room will be smelling amazing, almost like a spa!
Skin Routine & Brush Your Teeth
While the oils are diffusing head into the bathroom and start on your nighttime skin routine, whatever that may be! If you didn’t shower earlier, then go ahead and gently wash your face. Next (first if you did shower) go ahead and use your favorite moisturizer, face mask, or serums, and don’t forget to brush your teeth!
It’s so important to take your time while you do this and all of the other things in this back to school night routine. You’re showing yourself care and love to take time and help your body relax to get ready for the rest you need and deserve!
Your body will definitely thank you and you’ll notice that going back to school is much easier whenever you take this time to just focus on yourself.
Shut Off Phone And Unwind
Now it should be anywhere from around 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and you can head back to your wonderful smelling room to relax! You can turn off your lights and turn on your lamps so you can start to get cozy. You could even make a little cup of hot tea to take with you if you’d like!
It’s important to try and minimize, if not stop completely your screen time now. Turn your phone to night mode or do not disturb and think of your favorite things to do to relax!
This could be reading your favorite book, or even listening to calm music and journaling. If you really want, you could watch your favorite show but it’s nice to just take away technology at this time. It’ll help you to sleep better!
Shut Off Lights
Now after about 30 minutes to an hour of relaxing it’s time to shut off the lights and hit the hay! Hopefully it’s around 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. so you can get the full amount of rest you need to wake up early and take on the next day back to school!
P.S. Don’t forget about having a great morning routine too! 😉
