10 Great Food Places To Go To on The Las Vegas Strip

The alternative nickname for Las Vegas is “Sin City” and the city draws plenty of visitors year-round for its casinos, gambling, weather (the state of Nevada is all desert) nightlife, and shows, to name a few popular aspects. Las Vegas is also dubbed “Sin City” for its astounding food places! The city goes big and bold for everything when it comes to food and drinks from creativity to quality to taste to presentation. 

Las Vegas has a plethora of incredible restaurants across the city, especially at the Las Vegas Strip, the area of the city which draws the majority of tourists. Food Places across the Las Vegas Strip are owned and operated by some of the world’s most famous and best chefs around the world. The chefs are creative when making delicious dishes, cocktails, and/or desserts that have customers coming back for more and more. With that being said, here are 10 Great Food Places To Go To on The Las Vegas Strip:

1. Holsteins (The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas):

This food place is in The Cosmopolitan, one of the hottest hotels on The Las Vegas Strip. Holsteins serves tasty burgers and dishes and has wide selections of crafts and draft beers. Also one of the best burger places in Las Vegas, Holsteins is renown for their crafty milkshakes (some of which are infused with alcohol) which are all immaculate in both taste and presentation. The restaurant’s decor is full of bright pop art from local artists, leather-tufted booths, and the food place’s signature life-size neon pink cows. 

In terms of food, customer favorites include the Fried Cheese Curds, Buttermilk Onion Rings, Golden Standard Burger, Billionaire Burger, and The Forager Burger. All of the milkshakes at Holsteins are excellent and rich, but some of the stand out shakes are the Cookie Jar, Cotton Mouth, and The Black Hole. Although all three listed milkshakes contain alcohol, Holsteins offers them without the liquor for those under the age of 21.

2. Carbone (Aria Resort & Casino):

The Italian restaurant by Mario Carbone (who is also the restaurant’s Managing Chef) is in the Aria Resort & Casino. Carbone pays homage to Italian-American cuisine and restaurants from the mid-20th century, which includes showmanship, glamour, and tableside service (for some dishes). 

Carbone’s dishes are huge in portions size and rich in flavors. This food place is a hot spot in Las Vegas as it offers elevated renditions of Italian classics such as Veal Parmesan, Chicken Scarpariello, and Lobster Fra Diavolo. Carbone also offers a cart full of rich rum and don’t forget to order the Bananas Flambe (served tableside) for dessert. 

3. Carlo’s Bakery (The Grand Canal Shoppes):

The Las Vegas location of Buddy Valastro (from TLC’s Cake Boss)’s famous Carlo’s Bakery is located in the Grand Canal Shoppes. Carlo’s Bakery serves some of the best Italian pastries in both Las Vegas and across the nation. It offers sweet treats such as cannoli’s, cookies, and cakes, to name a few.

The renown Italian bakery has multiple locations all over the country. Carlo’s Bakery has also received tons of attention from celebrities and media outlets. Among the customers’ favorites are the Lobster tails, the cannoli’s, tiramisu, and the cannoli cake. There is always a long line at Carlo’s Bakery, but it is definitely worth the wait!

4. Jaleo (The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas):

The award-winning Spanish Tapas food place at The Cosmopolitan is one of several restaurants in Las Vegas owned by renown chef Jose Andres. The tapas place is open for both lunch and dinner. All dishes are outstanding in presentation, bring out the authentic flavors of a Spanish tapas restaurant, and are “Reimagined to evoke the excitement and spectacle of Las Vegas”. Popular tapas on the menu include Croquettas de Pollo, Chistorra Envuelta, Datiles, Cono de Sobrasada y queso, and Manzana con hinojo. The Paellas and all the meat tapas are delicious. Jaleo also has a great cocktail and wine menu and the one drink you have to order is the sangria. 

5. Bacchanal Buffet (Caesar’s Palace):

The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesar’s Palace has been often rated as the #1 Buffet in Las Vegas since its inception in 2012. It is only $98 per person. Bacchanal Buffet offers a plethora of modern food presentations in an upscale dining setting. There are hundreds of daily options (breakfast items, lunch items, dinner items, and desserts), all of the various cuisines. In addition, there are 15 daily chef’s specials which change every day of the week. Everything at Las Vegas’s best buffet is so delicious, you might need to be wheeled out in a wheelchair after finishing your meal.

6. Urth Caffé (Wynn Las Vegas):

Urth Caffé is a great place to grab some coffee and/or enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and pastries. People from Southern California know how wonderful and popular this food place is. Urth Caffé has eight locations across Southern California: five in Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, Downtown LA, West Hollywood, LAX, and Santa Monica); one in Pasadena; one in Laguna Beach; and one in Orange. For those not from Southern California reading this article right now, I have some good news: In November 2018, Urth Caffé opened its’ ninth location (and first one outside of California) at The Wynn Las Vegas!

Urth Caffé is famous for its whole bean organic coffee and its fine teas (which are hand-selected). Popular drink items include the Honey Vanilla Latté, the Caffé Granita, the Rising Sun Matcha Latte, and the Organic Green Tea Boba. The Urth Bread Pudding Breakfast, Pizza, Poach di Parma, Urth Parfait, Banana Cream Pie, and Urth Napoleon are among the customer favorites in terms of food items. 

For those not from Southern California, you definitely have to stop by The Wynn Las Vegas and try this place! It is best to get there early as the place is always crowded and super busy. However, it is worth the wait as the presentation of the food and drinks are immaculate and make amazing Instagram-Worthy pictures!!

7. Yardbird Southern Table and Bar (The Grand Canal Shoppes):

The second of three food places from The Grand Canal Shoppes to make this list, Yardbird is absolutely one of the best restaurants in all of Las Vegas! It is open for lunch, dinner, and brunch (Saturdays and Sundays only). Besides its Las Vegas location, Yardbird has other locations in Miami, Los Angeles, and Singapore. 

Yardbird is a modern take on Southern cuisine and dishes that are shared plates and offers fabulous cocktails. All these heavy dishes and comfort food is worth all the calories! Popular items on the menu of this Las Vegas hotspot include the Buttermilk Biscuits (have 3 different options/ways to order from), Deviled Eggs, Shrimp N’ Grits, Fried Chicken, Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon Waffles (in the photo below), Skillet Cornbread, House Fries, Southern Street Corn, and Macaroni & Cheese.

8. Sugar Factory (Fashion Show Mall):

This food place has multiple locations across the country and is one of Las Vegas’s most popular restaurants. The Sugar Factory in Las Vegas is inside the Fashion Island Mall, a shopping mall on the strip. This food place doubles as a restaurant and candy store. The space of Sugar Factory takes up two floors with a luxurious chocolate lounge on the second floor and a nice dining room and patio space on the first floor. Sugar Factory has earned a cult following from celebrities and media outlets.

Sugar Factory is renowned for its Goblet Drinks (served with and without alcohol) and outrageous Milkshakes and desserts. Some customers favorites regarding Goblet Drinks include The Watermelon Patch, The Drake, Mai Tai, and Energy Bear. For milkshakes, the standouts include The Chocolate Cookie Jar, The Giggles Snickers Milkshake, The Chocolate Rocky Road, and the Cookies Monster Make a Wish. For dessert, everything is delicious but you have to order the King Kong Sundae if You dine at Sugar Factory with a large group of people. All food items on the menu are also good.

At the candy store part of Sugar Factory, they offer ice cream, milkshakes, and candy. Don’t forget to buy their signature lollipops!

9. Canaletto (The Grand Canal Shoppes):

The Italian restaurant is located inside the famous Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and Palazzo Hotels. It is open for lunch and dinner and is one of the best Italian Restaurants in Las Vegas! When one dines at Canaletto, they will enjoy a Venetian dining experience featuring some of the most unique flavors and dishes from the region. Enjoy their complimentary fresh bread with your meal and have a glass of their fine wine. Among the customers’ favorites are the Calamaretti Fritti, Quatro Stagioni Pizza, the Tagliatelle Alla Castellana Con Pollo, and the Gnocchi. Canaletto is in the St. Mark’s Square part of the Grand Canal Shoppes and diners will get to enjoy their meal with live music!

10. Zuma (The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas):

The third food place at The Cosmopolitan to make this list, Zuma offers modern Japanese cuisine and world-class cocktails in a sophisticated and refined environment. Although the restaurant has several locations across the globe, there are only four of them are in the United States: Las Vegas, Boston, New York City, and Miami. 

Zuma features a variety of dishes from its three kitchens – the main kitchen, the robata grill, and sushi counter. All of the restaurant’s dishes are bold in flavor and feature modern Japanese cuisine that is authentic but not traditional. Popular menu items from Zuma include the crispy fried squid, sake glazed chicken wings, shitake mushrooms, glazed ribs, spicy beef tenderloin, and the dynamite spider roll. The Zuma in Las Vegas is only opened for dinner and the place gets really packed, so book your reservation ASAP!
