The Grammys are right around the corner and, besides music, all we can think about is the fashion parade that the famous awards ceremony entails. Last week’s Paris Haute Couture Week bedazzled us with incredible looks, and we are just dying to see which outfits will be picked by celebs to become iconic Grammys looks. Here’s our editorial pick of the 10 looks we are hoping to see on the Red Carpet!
Among the various trends, 2019 sees “the fluff” trend as one of the main protagonists of the fashion scene. Schiaparelli’s cherry-red asymmetric dress is enriched by ruffles that not only adorn the gown, but also the bust. Its voluminous nature is what truly grabs our attention and that’s why we really want to see this masterpiece as one of the many Grammys looks.
Once again, Valentino leaves everybody speechless with his collection. This bright-plum mini dress combined with lace-embroidered tights would look amazing on the red carpet. Definitely a huge “YES” for our ideal Grammys looks.
It’s not a suit, it’s not a dress. It is art, though. This ivory white piece by Balmain is a statement outfit that perfectly fits within the music awards environment. We’re definitely hoping to spot this among the many Grammys looks, possibly on Lady Gaga – she’d rock in this.
For a darker, edgier celebrity, Christian Dior has the perfect outfit ready. The juxtaposition of different textures, fabrics and designs is paradoxically harmonious and the final result is mesmerizing. Do we want to see this look at the Grammys? YES!
Charleston-inspired outfits are never out of style in 2019, and you should get ready to see sparkly sequins and delicate feathers everywhere. The Grammys, then, would be a perfect occasion to flaunt this look by Ralph & Russo: dazzling elegance is the right way to describe it.
Pastels took over control during the Paris Haute Couture Week and many designers opted for various nuances of baby-pink for the runway. Giambattista Valli’s tulle ruffle train dress is something to be on the lookout for; its magnificent, wide train would make anyone wearing it look like a princess at the Grammys.
Sequins and fringes are the protagonists in this strapless plunge jumpsuit by Armani Privé. The slightly flared pants enhance the sparkles created by the sequins through movement and the result is absolutely mesmerizing. Through shiny and dangling ornaments, Armani manages to make black the brightest color of the palette. If this jumpsuit gets to be one of the Grammys outfits, it will surely enter the “Best Grammys Looks of 2019” chart.
Celebrities do not necessarily need a wide ball gown to stand out on the red carpet. Among timelessly beautiful dresses designed by her, Alberta Ferretti advanced an alternative solution at last week’s Paris Haute Couture week. Extravagant statement suits are a big trend in 2019, as well as sequins and flares. Alberta Ferretti’s latest suit design leaves no space for critics as it combines all three trends in a unique fashion masterpiece. If nobody wears this look at the Grammys, we will be profoundly disappointed.
Viktor & Rolf’s iconic haute couture collection has already gone viral thanks to its millennials-inspired edgy phrases. Carefully embroidered or simply printed, sentences like “sorry I’m late I didn’t want to come” occupy a vast portion of the clothing piece. We think this particular lavender tulle dress with ruffled shoulders would be an amazing, funny and witty outfit if it was part of the Grammys looks. Hopefully, we’ll see it on the red carpet.
Like an ocean wave that is about to crash on the shore, this incredibly crafted dress by Zuhair Murad is spectacular in its beauty and volume. The ruffle details in different nuances of blue give the idea of seawater moving – and it is magnificent. We’re really hoping to see this dress among the Grammys looks this year.
