10 Graduation Party Games You Need To Try During Your Grad Party

What’s a Grad Party without playing some graduation party games? Leaving college is the time to relax and have fun and that starts with your grad party. From party classics to new ideas, here are ten graduation party games that you and you’re friends will love.

1. Beer Pong

Beer pong is one of the most popular drinking games around and it’s easy to see why. For those of you who don’t know how to play, the rules are pretty simple. The game is played in teams of two and each team takes turns to try and throw a ping pong ball into the other team’s cup at the end of the table. Once they get the ball into the cup then the cup is taken away. The team who gets rid of all of their opponent’s cups wins the game.

2. Most likely to game

We love this fun game and it’s a lot of fun to play at your graduation as its all about predicting the future. Choose from a whole load of ‘most likely to’ scenarios, and pick a friend that you think it would apply to.  There aren’t really any winners or losers in this game but it’s a laugh all the same.

3. Never Have I ever

Thought you knew your college friends well? Think again. Never Have I Ever is a really fun and sometimes quite informative game. When it comes to graduation party games, it’s great because it requires very little to play it, apart from a drink. To play, someone starts by saying something they have, or haven’t done. Players who have done the thing mentioned, drink. Simple.

4. Twister

You’re probably familiar with the game, Twister, from childhood birthday parties but this crazy game is just as much fun as an adult, if not more. Get your friends to bring along their old Twister set or improvise and make your own.  Then start the spinner and prepare to get a little up close and personal with your college mates as you all attempt to put the appropriate body part on the right colour. Er, where’s your crush got to?!

5. Kings Cup

Kings is a classic card game and one that’s guaranteed to be a hit at your graduation party. To play, all you need is a deck of cards and some drinks. To start, all of the players gather around a table which has a cup in the centre and a deck of cards spread out around it. There are different rules associated with each card and players take it in turns to pick. The rules can vary but generally are as follows:

  • Ace = Waterfall- Everyone starts chugging until the person who picked the card stops.
  • Two= You: The player gets to pick anyone in the game that they want to drink
  • Three= Me: You drink
  • Four= Whore- All girls drink
  • Five= Jive: The player has to do a dance move. The next person has to copy and add to it. Then this keeps going until someone messes up.
  • Six= Dicks: Guys drink
  • Seven= Heaven: Everyone reaches for the sky. The last person to do so, drinks.
  • Eight= Mate: The player picks a mate to drink with. Each time one of them drinks, the other has to do so too.
  • Nine= Rhyme: The player starts off by saying a word and then everyone must go round in turns saying a word that rhymes with it. The person who can’t think of any more, drinks.
  • Ten= Categories: The player picks a category. This can be anything from brands of chips to makes of cars. The person who can’t think of anything, drinks.
  • Jack= Thumb master: The player is thumb master until the next Jack is pulled. This means that at any point they can put their thumb on the table. As soon as they do so, everyone else must copy. The last person to do so, you guessed it, drinks.
  • Queen= Questions: The player asks a question to any other player, and then they do so to someone else. The person who pauses of fails to ask one, drinks.
  • King= Make a rule: This player gets to make a rule that then applies until the next King is picked. This can be anything from, everyone has to stand up before picking a card to change the direction of the game. The first three people to pick kings must pour some of their drink into the cup in the middle. The last person to pick the King drinks it

6. Flip Cup

Flip Cup is a really fun and simple drinking game that you should definitely add to your list of graduation party games. To play, two teams with equal numbers of players, line up facing each other along a long table. Each player has a cup of beer filled with varying amounts of beer. To start, the first two players cheer each other and then chug their beer. When they have, they place the cup the correct way up, very near the end of the table and attempt to flip it the other way up by flicking it. As soon as they have done this, then the next person in their team can go. The team to have all of their cups flipped over first wins.

7. Bull sh*t

Bullsh*t is one of our favourite graduation party games. This card game is all based on your ability to bluff and it is a lot of fun to play. The rules are as follows. A deck of cards is divided out between two to ten players until all of the cards have been dealt. Then the person holding the two of clubs starts the game by putting this card down in the centre of the table, along with any other twos that they have. This is where the bluffing begin. They may lay down only two twos but say they are putting down three. The aim is to get rid of as many cards as possible. If another player suspects someone is lying, they can call bullsh*t. If they’re right then the person bluffing has to pick up all the cards in the middle. If not then the person who called bullsh*t does so instead.

8. Who am I

This is one of those graduation party games that is always a laugh to play. All you need are some post stick notes. Start by getting the players to sit around a table. Then everyone writes the name of a famous person on their paper and places it names down on to the table. Their card is then passed to the person on their right. Pick up your note and without reading it, stick it on your forehead. Then someone starts by asking the other players yes or no questions. By doing this, they must attempt to work out who the person is that’s written on their post stick note. If they guess right, everyone else drinks. If not, they do.

9. Truth or Dare

Truth or Dare is a classic game and a lot of fun to play at your Grad Party. Take it in turns to decide whether you’d like to answer a question truthfully or if you’d rather do a dare. It’s a great chance to find out all of the drama that’s happened over the last few years and a good chance to create some more. Be as outrageous and daring as you can, it’s graduation after all.

10. Pictionary

Fancy yourself as a bit of an artist? Then this might be a game for you. The rules are pretty simple. The group divides into teams and then each player takes it in turns to go to the front of the room and draw a thing/ scenario that the other team has come up. The player has 30 seconds to draw, in which time, someone from their team must correctly guess what they are drawing. If they do not guess or guess wrong then all players in the team must drink.

So, it’s time to grab your friends (and a drink)  and get stuck into one of these fun graduation party games this year. What are your favourite college party games? Let us know in the comments.
