If you're a student at Pace University, you will definitely be able to relate to these 10 gifs that perfectly describe what it's like to go to school here.

Going to school at Pace University in Manhattan can be pretty great, but it can also be pretty hard to try and put into words – which is why GIF’s are the perfect response to any conversation.

However, only some Pace students understand the certain triumphs and struggles of being a student here. Here are 10 gifs that perfectly describe what it’s like to be a student at Pace U.

1. Having to take UNV 101 AND Computing

Some people enjoy it, other people don’t, but it’s a class that you HAVE to take as a first year student. The university basically throws you into a class with a bunch of other first years and your advisor teaches it. Unless you have a really chill advisor, this class can be dreadful. Computing on the other hand is a roller coaster, unless you have Plumley, you’re going to hate it. Sadly I was stuck with a night class in a room not even equipped for computers.

2. What are sports?

No seriously, what are they? I personally don’t know much about sports at our campus, but football, baseball, etc. is all at the other campus. We don’t do that stuff here, we’re obviously to boujee for that.

3. When there’s only two of you in a long hallway walking towards each other and you’re avoiding eye contact.

The hallways at Pace are extremely long and sometimes you end up being in one with just one other person, walking from the very end, and you just avoid eye contact the entire time you pass them.

4. Being blessed to have your own bathroom freshman year #182Broadway.

There are 2 first year residence halls. One is Maria’s Tower, which is traditional, while 182 Broadway comes with your own bathroom. Pros: you have your own bathroom, right across from Fulton Center, and it’s pretty quiet. Cons: you have to walk to the main campus, most of time you’re stuck in a triple, and it’s not very community oriented.

5. Waiting for the elevators… in every building.

The elevators at Pace University are extremely slow and there are so many people. No matter what building you’re in, at some point you’ll have to wait a long time for one.

6. Making the decision to take the stairs from B-level to the 6th floor and struggling.

In the main building, sometimes you’ll just choose to walk up the stairs, BAD DECISION. It’s a struggle to go from B to the 6th, that’s 7 flights of stairs. And even if you think it’s nothing, you’ll be completely winded by the time you get to your class, trying to make it seem like you didn’t just climb up the stairs.

7. Everyone gets excited when they see animals of any kind.

It’s a city, most of the time all you see are birds, people, and cars, but you immediately get happy when you see someone walking their dog or a squirrel in the park across the street. Staff that live on the campus also have animals around a lot.

8. Starbucks being on the meal plan is both a blessing and a curse.

Yes, we have a Starbucks in our dining hall, and yes it’s on the meal plan. If you’re not careful enough, you’ll blow through your meal plan like crazy.

9. The Pleasantville campus is foreign to us.

If you didn’t know, Pace University has another campus that’s a little more traditional, but none of us acknowledge it. Do we look like we belong in the country?

10. Registration is basically the Hunger Games.

If you’re a first year student, bless your heart. My first year I wasn’t able to register until the Friday of the week of registration, aka the last day. Almost all of the classes you wanted to take have been filled up, or they changed their prerequisites. You tried to get into that online science class, but sadly it filled up in less than 5 seconds. But don’t worry, you won’t be able to get into that class until senior year.
