10 Gifs That Describe Being A Student At Westfield State University
After the heat and exhaustion of move in day has passed, and the 2 weeks of opened windows and small desk fans on full blast slow down, students, and I mean all kind of students, from Westfield State University have experienced these feelings at least once in their time as a college student.
1. That first day of classes and you plan out an outfit, only to sweat bullets in it in the non air conditioned classrooms.
I always wore jeans on my first day and a pretty top and I always ended up sweating rivers in the classroom.
2. Then the weather flip flops and it is freezing out, but your room is either really cold or hot as hell. No in between.
3. Then when you are finally old enough to bring your car on campus and don’t have to deal with the PVTA (bus)
Especially when the bus always either broke down or never arrived on time. Also, no one could understand the bus schedule or how to read it.
4. South Lot Scaries
But then having to park in South Lot, the farthest parking lot off campus, for the rest of your college career. $100.00 a year for a parking pass that only works if parked in South Lot… (All the parking tickets you get after parking in Commuter Lot or Lammers Hall Lot for 15 minutes so you could bring the groceries in from the 100th trip to Walmart that week.) I would leave my car parked on campus for 15 minutes and cringe after seeing public safety doing their rounds around the campus parking lots. They let you fight your tickets, however you end up paying them anyway. $25.00 parking tickets.
5. When you are totally prepared for 7 AM class registration
With 10 back up classes, CRN numbers lined up on a list written down, and you wake up a half hour early scrolling through the Westfield State website…
6:58
6:59:
7:00: “You have a hold on your account” notification pops up…
6. Then you are stuck with the 8:15 AM classes nobody wants
7. When Friday night rolls around and Campus Activities Board’s signs for “Brown Bag Bingo” are up everywhere in the residence buildings (as a freshman)
And you win for the first time…
Fun fact: I won Brown Bag Bingo twice and then won it again for one of my roommates, Em. She won two big bags of fun sized candy. I won window painting stencils kits and emoji pillows.
