Whether you meet a potential love interest at school, work, or Tinder, etc., there are many different dating scenarios we all go through inevitably. These scenarios could happen on a first date, after a few months of seeing each other, or very well into a long-term relationship. Unfortunately, you just never know. Good and bad, here are 10 gifs that accurately describe these different dating scenarios we all go through.
This is usually a red flag. If they talk too fondly about their ex, they may not be completely over them and ready to jump into a relationship with you. If they are constantly bashing their ex, especially by using a word like “crazy,” you might need to reevaluate them.
This is usually a tell-tell sign that you’re not completely over your ex and that you probably aren’t ready to be dating. Remember, you don’t want to bring in baggage from your past relationship into your new one. Give yourself time before jumping back into the dating pool after a break-up!
If you haven’t experienced this, consider yourself lucky! There’s nothing worse than pretending to be interested in someone just because you are out in public and you’re too nice to run. Yikes.
This is the scariest part about online dating, I think. It’s not knowing if the person you’re meeting up with is actually the person you’ve been talking to. It’s being afraid that they don’t meet the expectations you set up in your head. It’s realizing that in all of their pictures, they had been using a Snapchat filter.
Sometimes we click with people, and then things fall apart. Sometimes that’s after the first few dates, the first few months, or a couple years of dating. You just come to the realization that the person you were so in love with, kind of sucks. Unfortunately, for most of us, this is a dating scenario we will all go through. I’m sorry!
Heartbreak sucks, I know. It feels like the end of the world and sometimes you just want to run back to that person, until one day, you don’t anymore. You realize that it was a lesson to be learned. You stop trash-talking your ex, and you realize that they did, in fact, teach you something good after all. How to let go and love yourself.
It’s the kind of laughter that is genuine and not forced. You realize you’re sitting there with someone who could potentially be the one, and at that moment, all your worries about finding someone go away. And even if they’re not the one, you feel that much closer to finding them.
You don’t want to go home with them right away. You imagine what it’d be like if you did, but you don’t act on it because you don’t want to mess it up. As cliche as it may be, you believe they’re worth the wait.
You think you’ve felt this feeling before, but this time’s different. You know that this has the potential to be something that will last. This type of chemistry bleeds into your conversations with each other, your dates, and your relationship. Let’s be real, this is a dating scenario we ALL long for.
Nothing sucks like being attracted to someone who is a shitty person. They’ve got the looks but not the personality. When you find someone you’re attracted to who treats you right, you feel like you’ve hit the jackpot. Secure that bag!
