Saint Patrick’s Day is a great drinking holiday. From bar hopping to house parties you are in for a day of fun drinking games and debauchery. Put on your cutest green outfit and grab your bff because we have put together the best fun drinking games to play this Saint Patrick’s Day.

1. Shot Potato (aka Hot Potato)

This fun drinking game is very similar to what may have been a childhood favorite. Instead of passing around a ball or another object pass around a shot glass. Who ever is holding the glass when the music stops, has to pour up and take a shot.

2. Irish Trivia

Turn your trivia night into an Irish trivia night! Ask questions based on Ireland, its traditions, and celebrities from that country (hint.. Niall Horan). Anyone who gets the question incorrect must take a shot.ruproctor

3. McNickels

Here is another fun drinking games that has an Irish twist. Similar to it’s American counterpart Quarters, you toss a coin off a table and into a glass of alcohol. Add some Irish themed liquor in the spirit of the holiday.

4. Beer Pong

Beer pong is a classic game that everybody knows and loves, add an Irish twist by filling your cups up with green beer.

5. St. Patrick says..

The rules are the same for this childhood favorite. Swap Simon for St. Patrick and whoever does the incorrect movement has to drink.

This is an option where you will quickly end up intoxicated (but isn’t that the goal?). This fun drinking games great because it can be plaid throughout your day. At the top of the hour, every hour take a shot or chug a beer.

7. Irish Roulette

For one of our favorite fun drinking games, everyone needs a set of dice and a shot. Have all of the players roll the dice at the same time, the person with the lowest number has to down their shot. Refill the cups and roll again.

8. Irish Poker

This is one of many fun drinking games that is sure to get everyone drunk. All you need is a deck of cards and your favorite bottle of alcohol. Have a friend play the ‘dealer’ and place five cards face down, the person to the left of the dealer has to guess if the card that is going to be flipped is red or black. If you get it correct you nominate someone to drink, if you get it wrong you  have to drink. An added catch is you have to chug for the amount of time on the card (ex: 9 of diamonds, drink for 9 seconds)

9. Heads Up

While this may be thought of as something for kids, heads up has taken an adult turn and can now be added to our list of fun drinking games. Download Ellen’s Heads Up game from your app store. If you pay extra you can choose to have Irish related questions.

10. Flip Cup

Play one of your favorite fun drinking games this March, and make it Irish by adding green beer or use Lucky Charms vodka.
