Fun DIY Face Masks For Sensitive Skin

I often find myself discouraged when trying out an elaborate new face mask only to wake up with a disastrous breakout.

If you are anything like me and have sensitive skin, here are some fun DIY face masks that should work perfectly for you without harming your skin!

Avocado and Honey Mask

This mask is incredibly simple, and two of the three ingredients are explained in the title. All you need is 1/2 of an avocado, a tablespoon of honey, and a large handful of oats. Combine these ingredients, and you have the perfect moisturizing face mask. I have found that natural ingredients have worked well on my sensitive skin, and are much less harmful than the chemicals and additives included in many of the face masks that are available at the store. Trust me, try this mask out, and you will automatically experience its moisturizing magic.

Papaya and Cacao Mask

Once again, this is a natural mask that luckily only requires a handful of ingredients. All you have to do is combine 1/4 of a papaya, a tablespoon of aloe vera gel, and a tablespoon of cacao powder, and let the ingredients work their magic on your skin, regardless of its sensitivity. This mask is meant to bring back a natural glow to your dull, lackluster skin, but it does not contain harsh ingredients in doing so. With the perfectly balanced combination of revitalizing papaya and hydrating aloe vera, this DIY mask will improve your skin’s circulation and complexion!

Egg and Oats Mask

This mask combines one egg yolk, one tablespoon of olive oil, half a cup of oatmeal, and a tablespoon of honey. It’s basically breakfast for your skin! Something about this specific compilation of ingredients is meant to successfully  tackle oily skin, but it is gentle enough to be used on all skin types. With oatmeal’s naturally soothing nature and egg yolk’s ability to tighten skin, the combination of the two are sure to bring back a youthful and smooth texture to your face. This fun DIY mask is sure to impress you and all your friends next time you decide to do face masks together, but don’t want to risk facing any sort of facial sensitivity.

Avocado and Cucumber Mask

If you are on the hunt for the perfect DIY mask that is simple, yet proven to add a level of hydration to your skin that it is currently lacking, this is the perfect mask for you. It requires nothing more than 1/2 of an avocado and 1/4 of a cucumber. Add the two of these ingredients into a blender, apply the mixture to your face for about 10 minutes, and your skin will instantly feel rehydrated and energized. This mask is the ultimate proof that sometimes the simplest of ingredients can yield the strongest and most beneficial results when it comes to face masks.

Egg White Mask

This egg white mask is designed specifically for individuals who are combatting oversized pores and acne. In order to create this mask, all you need to combine is the white of one egg, one teaspoon of orange juice, and 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric powder. These three powerhouse ingredients are proven to kill the acne-causing bacteria on your skin’s surface and extract it from your pores. As someone who often has major battles with acne, I have found that this DIY face mask ALWAYS does the trick. This being said, I highly recommend trying this mask next time you are fighting a breakout, instead of trying to fight it with harsh creams and chemicals.
