8 Fruity Cocktails That Are Perfect For Summer
Summer is the time of picnics, family gatherings, and pool parties. Obviously, drinks during these events are inevitable. With the tropical vibe of summer, fruity cocktails are a must-have.
Check out this list of drinks that you need to make.
1. Blueberry Mojito
Mash together 1 cup of blueberries. Set aside.
Muddle 10 mint leaves with 2 teaspoons of sugar. On top, pour in 4 ounces of rum, the juice of 2 limes, and the blueberry mixture you created earlier.
In glasses, pour this mixture over club soda and ice. If you want, you can garnish with a lime, mint, and extra blueberries.
This will yield about 2 glasses of mojito.
2. Blackberry Whiskey Lemonade
Before creating the base for this drink, you need to make the blackberry simple syrup. To do this you will first heat 12 ounces of blackberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan over medium heat. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the blackberries have softened and the syrup has thickened.
Once you have reached this point, strain the syrup through a sieve to get rid of any excess seeds or chunks in the syrup. Let the syrup sit for about 20 minutes before making your drink.
Once you are ready to begin, add 1 cup of whiskey, 1 cup of lemon juice, 1 large rosemary sprig, 3/4 cup of the blackberry syrup, and 1 cup of tonic or sparkling wine into a shaker. Mix with ice. Shake, then pour over ice.
3. Raspberry Limoncello Prosecco
In a pitcher, combine 3 cups of chilled prosecco and 1 cup of chilled limoncello.
Pour into glasses over raspberries and sprigs of mint.
4. Frozen Red Sangria
The ingredients for this delicious fruity cocktail are as follows:
- 1 pound (16 ounces) frozen mixed berries

- 1/3 cup Cointreau (or any orange liqueur, or brandy)
- 2 Tablespoons freshly-squeezed lime juice
- 1-2 Tablespoons honey
- ice, if needed to thicken
Combine all ingredients in a blender, and pulse until smooth. Depending on the thickness you desire, you may need to add some ice cubes. If you want more sweetness, add extra honey to taste.
5. Peach Wine Slushies
In a blender, combine 2 cups of a fruity white wine with 1/2 a bag of frozen peaches. Puree until it is smooth in texture.
If the mixture is too liquidy, you can place this concoction in the freezer and stir every 30 minutes. Repeat this until it has reached a slushy-like texture.
For garnish, you can top with slices of peaches.

Muddle 5 strawberries, 5 basil leaves, a splash of ginger beer, and just from 1/2 a lime. Add in 1.5 ounces of vodka and stir.
