Football Sunday Snacks
This weekend is the start of football season! If you are planning on having people over to watch the game and you are lucky to have a kitchen in your dorm, make some fun snacks with your roommates. These Football Sunday snacks are super easy and all your guy friends will love them!
Loaded Baked Potato Dip
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 16 slices (12-ounce package) bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 2 cups)
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced scallions or chives
Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving to allow flavors to meld together. Garnish with extra shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, and chopped chives. Serve with your favorite potato chips or pretzel crisps. Baked Corn Dog Bites
- 1 pack of corn muffin or corn bread mix
- 1 pack of hot dogs sliced
Just mix together and bake according to package. Serve with ketchup and mustard.
Pepperoni Pizza Puffs
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 oz pepperoni (14 slices)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup shredded nonfat mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded part skim mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup reduced fat milk
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 dash salt
- Pre-heat oven to 375° F (190° C). Grease a 24-cup mini-muffin pan.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, Italian seasoning, salt and red pepper flakes (if using) ; whisk in the milk and egg. Stir in the mozzarella, Parmesan and pepperoni; let stand for 10 minutes. Stir the batter and divide among the mini-muffin cups. Bake until puffed and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
