Lots of foods are compartmentalized into their respective meal times: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, there are a handful of foods that can be eaten at any time of the day. Here are 10 foods you can enjoy any time of the day!
Though labeled a breakfast food, eggs deserve to be seen as much more. Eggs can be eaten for breakfast, can be paired with meat for a filling lunch or dinner, and can even be eaten as a brief afternoon or evening snack. They are easy to prepare, quick to make, and are full of protein, making them a great option at any time of the day.
When it comes to fruits and vegetables you can never get enough of them. Whether you have mango with dinner, a banana in the morning, or an apple before bed, fruit is never a bad thing to snack on or sneak into a meal at any time of the day.
It may be odd to think of cereal as anything more than breakfast food, however, cereal can also be a perfect snack or meal depending on your level of hunger. If you’re in the mood for a light meal, cereal is perfect, and if your meal was too light, cereal is also a perfect option.
Bagels play a very similar role to cereal in the sense that they are great in situations where you are either looking for a light meal or need something in addition to a meal. They are a tasty breakfast and a great snack to have so that you won’t go to bed hungry or stuffed.
Steak doesn’t seem like something practical to eat throughout the day but is actually more ordinary than you’d imagine. Steak and eggs is a great way to start a day full of protein to give you energy in the morning, and steak is a great meal for both lunch and dinner. As a snack it is difficult to just make steak, however, depending on how much you plan to eat, you can just eat it as a snack.
Nothing matches the aroma of sizzling bacon to wake you up in the morning. Bacon can be put into almost any meal or snack and have an instant impact in making the food just that much more enjoyable.
Smoked, grilled, or baked, salmon is always delicious and even though it’s fish, can be a hearty and delicious breakfast. Instead of your everyday bagels with cream cheese, put some salmon on top for added flavor and protein. If not for breakfast, salmon makes for a tasty lunch or dinner, making it a great food to eat at any time of the day.
Breakfast can be rushed so a granola bar is perfect for those mornings where you’re running late and don’t have time for a full meal. Granolas bars are grab and go and can be eaten at practically any time of the day as a snack whether on the move or sitting down.
Similarly to fruit, vegetables should be eaten as much and as often as possible. Have some potatoes with breakfast, a salad for lunch, and broccoli with dinner. If you’re hungry, instead of a bowl of chips, go for some vegetables instead. They are healthy, delicious, and a great snack to have at any time of the day.
Yogurt goes great with fruit, granola, and almost anything crunchy. It’s a perfect start to the day and can also be snacked on throughout the rest of the day. Yogurt can be eaten rather quickly, but for its size provides for a great source of protein and is beneficial for your health in many ways.
