Losing weight is something we all want to do. Trying to achieve a flat tummy is difficult if you don’t put the right foods into your body. You can workout and do crunches all day but ultimately the food consumed is what will make a difference.

Ginger is a wonderful root that helps with a ton of different things but specially keeping your belly flat. It has compounds that help keep your bowels moving helping to de-bloat your body. Try having a glass of warm lemon water in the morning and grate in about a thumb size of ginger. It has a really soothing taste and will also help achieve a flat tummy.
Eating yogurt every morning will help promote healthy digestion. Plain yogurt is filled with probiotics that help balance out the good bacteria in your stomach. This can be Greek yogurt or regular but adding it to your morning breakfast or afternoon snack will help aid in a flat stomach. If plain yogurt isn’t your jam then sprinkle on a little bit of cinnamon and honey. Don’t go over board by adding fruit and granola. It just adds unnecessary sugars and carbs.
Quinoa is an amazing super food that tastes just as good. The high fiber seeds aid in digestion and can improve overall health because of their low glycemic index. If you aren’t a huge meat eater, adding protein to your dinner will help give you more protein. There are so many ways to eat quinoa but adding it on top of a bowl of greens like kale and pairing it with a piece of fish is a delicious way to eating a healthy meal.
Don’t feel like if you want to achieve a flat tummy that means cutting out “bad” food. Dark chocolate is a nutrient dense snack that, in moderation, can help you get to your goal. Dark chocolate is a natural suppressant that will help reduce stress and boost your metabolism. Enjoy life and eat some dark chocolate if you want too.
