Springtime is here which means it’s time to whip out those gardening gloves and plant some beautiful flowers. We all like to plant our favorite flowers in our garden, but maybe this year we can add a new plant to the mix. If you’re into horoscopes, why not plant flowers based on your zodiac sign? This can be a fun new way to bring your personality from the stars to your backyard. Literally! Here is a list of flowers you need to plant-based on your zodiac sign!
1. Aries – Lily
As the first sign in the zodiac, Aries represents new beginnings, which is fitting because Aries love to be first. They are strong, confidant people who love to have fun and spread positivity. They match perfectly with Lillies as they are used for special occasions and great milestones. Lillies come in a wide variety of bright, vibrant colors that each have there own special meaning as well. However, they all have an overarching quality of representing pride and positivity by being beautiful yet strong.
2. Taurus – Poppy
Taurus’ are strong, compassionate, loving beings. They love surrounding themselves with family, friends, and nature. Poppies have similar traits as they are strong, you can find them growing almost anywhere and are always surrounded by dozens of more poppies. They also have been known to provide healing properties by just simply being around them. Who doesn’t want that in their garden? Be prepared for this flower to grow big, tall, and in numbers in your garden.
3. Gemini – Lavender
Gemini’s have a social and energetic side. They also have a dualistic nature that allows them to take on what seems to be an opposite personality at times. This matches the qualities of lavender really well as they are not bland, they not only look unique, and they have a wonderful smell to them as well. 4. Cancer – White Rose
Cancers are so well-liked and highly emotional. They find comfort in doing what they know. This makes them a perfect match for the white rose, as white roses are a classic, romantic, and universally adored. Make sure these flowers get plenty of sun, water, and love, just like a Cancer.
5. Leo – Sunflower
As the greatly known sun sign, it only seems fitting to have a flower that shines as much as a Leo does. The sunflower is strong, can grow almost anywhere (as long as there is a lot of sun), and will last for a very long time in your garden. A fun fact about sunflowers is if they can’t face the sun, they face toward another sunflower. As a Leo, watch the sunflower turn to you because you are as bright as the sun!

Virgo’s are sweet and might seem shy at first, but, like the flower, once they open up, they shine their fun and loving personality. Buttercups also tend to blend in the background and can be great additions to bigger plants and flowers. However, when you get up close, you can see the Buttercup has a beauty all its own.

Libra’s are all about justice, strength, fairness, and peace. These compassionate people are adored by everyone they meet just like the classic, Rose. Roses are a popular symbol of passion and love. These can grow into big strong bushes that can make any home look more classic.
8. Scorpio – Geranium
Scorpio’s have many sides to them. They are deep, emotional people who love their alone time but if you’re lucky enough to get to know them, you’ll see all their beautiful colors. Capricorns are tenacious and always active. They like to show you how proud they are of all they’re hard work. The Pansy flower mirrors just that. They are small but they pack a real punch. They are always bright in colors and have beautiful, simple details on the inside of the petals. These flowers can be great on their own or added to other flower bunches to help them shine more.
11. Aquarius – Orchid
Aquarius, at first, appear shy but once they are around friends they trust they are full of life and energy. They are also incredibly intelligent and are notoriously gifted at problem-solving. This makes them multifaceted beings. Much like the Orchid that comes in many different colors and unique detailing that can help with several different things. Overall, they are strong flowers, for once they die, the stem can be cut from the root and new flowers will begin to bloom again. Problem solved!
12. Pieces – Water Lily
As both a water sign and the symbol of fish, there is no better match than the Water Lily flower. Pieces are emotional, compassionate, and also share a deep love for the arts and are very whimsical. I don’t know about you but when I think of whimsical, I think of fairies. Where do you picture fairies? In small ponds with Water Lilies, so it’s pretty perfect actually. These are great if you have a pond, fountain, or small water source in your landscape where you can grow these babies.
