Being stuck inside while quarantined has us all digging into the backs of our cabinets for more ingredients to make new recipes. We once coveted the all-mighty home-cooked meal. Now we’re sick of being home.
If you’re still looking for new recipes but are ready to give up cooking, here are some great crockpot recipes to try for the next week and a half. It’ll give you the delicious home-cooked meal, without all the work.
Also, if you’re anything like me…the stove isn’t exactly your best friend, so crockpot recipes are my favorite. I’m constantly looking for new crockpot recipes.
Step 1 – Place chicken breasts and root beer in a slow cooker and cook for about 3 hours on high. Shred and drain most of the liquid.
Step 2 – Leave a little so the chicken doesn’t get dry. Add salt & pepper.
Step 3 – Pour in a bottle of BBQ sauce and let cook another 15-20 minutes in a slow cooker.
Step 4 – Serve on rolls. I sometimes add avocado or even saute onion to serve on the sandwich.
Step 1 – Place the frozen chicken into the bowl of a slow cooker.
Step 2 – In a separate bowl, mix together the chili sauce and preserves.
Step 3 – Pour over the chicken and toss to coat chicken.
Step 4 – Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours.
Step 5 – Serve hot over cooked rice or vegetables, or both.
Step 1 – Pour sauces over meatballs in a slow cooker and combine them.
Step 2 – Cover and cook on HIGH for about 3-4 hours.
Step 3 – Serve over rice if desired as a meal or individually as a cocktail appetizer. Enjoy!
Step 1 – Place the chicken breasts into a slow cooker, and pour in 3/4 of the wing sauce and the ranch dressing mix.
Step 2 – Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
Step 3 – Once the chicken has cooked, drain liquid if any, add the butter, the rest of the buffalo sauce, and shred the meat finely with two forks.
Step 4 – Serve with rolls and coleslaw with blue cheese or ranch dressing if desired.
Step 1- The first thing you are going to want to do is to dump the can of apple pie filling into the bottom of the crockpot.
Step 2- Dump the yellow cake mix on top of the apples
Step 3 – Put the stick of butter on top
Step 4 – Cook on low for about 4 hours until the top is golden brown.
Step 1 – Just dump all 3 ingredients in your Crock-Pot, mix, and cook on Low for 5-6 hours.
Step 2 – If you can, stir every couple of hours to break up the ground beef. But if you are not home, you can just break up the meat into smaller chunks right before serving.
Step 3 – Serve with taco shells and/or flour tortillas and your favorite taco toppings.
Step 1 – Add all three ingredients into your slow cooker.
Step 2 – Stir periodically.
Step 3 – Cook in your slow cooker for about 4 hours on high or 6-8 hours on low. Voila!
Step 1 – Place sliced peaches in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Step 2 – In a medium bowl, combine the cake mix (unprepared) with the butter. Cut the butter into the cake mix with a pastry blender (or fork or potato masher) until crumbly.
Step 3 – Sprinkle cake mix mixture over peaches.
Step 4 – Place a paper towel or dishtowel on top of the slow cooker and seal with a slow cooker’s lid. Cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or on LOW for about 4 hours.
Serve with vanilla ice cream.
