Fashionable July Fourth Outfits To Buy RN

The biggest and best summer party is always on the fourth of July! What’s not to love about fireworks, good food and drinks? With all that fun, you have to have an outfit that has the perfect combination of red, white and blue! If you’re already looking to plan out the perfect patriotic outfit, look no further than these suggestions. No matter what your plans are for the holiday, these outfits vary from backyard BBQs to strolling downtown before fireworks. With everything from keeping it simple and understated to going over the top, you’ll want to buy these 4th of July outfits right now.

Simple Statement

If you want to do an understated outfit that still packs a patriotic punch, try keeping it simple with a red, white or blue top and cut off shorts. Amp up the patriotism with subtle Independence Day details like stars or stripes and add a headband or bracelets in one of the other colors so it feels more festive! This look is great if you are just spending the day hanging out, at a bbq or just don’t have extra time to change before the fireworks start!

Patriotic Shorts

If you want to keep your outfit simple but have a major patriotic factor, try shorts with stars and stripes on them! These can range from them being on visible pockets or the back pockets being painted (easy DIY!) Pair with a solid color top in red, white or blue and you’re ready to go! This is another great option for a casual Independence Day!

Striped Shirts

If your style is on the preppier side or you’re visiting a town that looks like a Vineyard Vines catalog, you can’t go wrong with a classic striped shirt and solid short combo. Either rock red shorts with a blue and white shirt or vice versa, either way, if you pair the outfit with a pair of boat shoes, you’ll fit right in and look cute while doing it!

Beach Babe

If you’re lucky enough to spend the holiday on a beach or in a beachside town, let your suit show off your patriotism! You can always rock a classic star-spangled suit or you can go a little more subtle with the theme. Pair a gingham suit in red or blue with red sunglasses or striped sweater and you’ll be set to go from the sunny day time to the chilly evening fireworks, you can wear this look all day long and spread the holiday cheer!

Patriotic Gingham

Speaking of gingham, there is something so festive about this print, especially for holiday events! It is the perfect option for the fourth of July since it combines two out of three patriotic colors! Pick a gingham top in red or blue, add some cut-off shorts (either traditional jeans material or colored chinos!) and red lipstick or other pops of red and blue. Once you’re done, you’ll have a put-together outfit that will look adorable at a bbq, parade, beach and fireworks!

Patriotic Pants

If you live somewhere where evenings are a little too chilly for shorts, (anyone else from Michigan or up North?) opt for a pair of decked out jeans! Just like with the shorts, you can find several different takes on patriotic pants including with paint, prints, pocket details and more! This is another fun one to DIY if you have an old pair of jeans and some free time! Use paint and stamps to decorate either one or both legs with some spangled stars! Pair with any red, white or blue top and don’t forget a coordinating sweater just in case the temperature drops more than anticipated!

Dressy Dandy

If you want to stay cool and still look cute, why not try a dress? The best part about wearing a dress for the fourth of July is it’s such an easy outfit! Find a dress featuring the three classic colors or keep it simple with a solid red, white or blue dress with accessories in the other colors. A dress is a perfect option because you can choose a t-shirt version for casual events or being at the beach, or a fancier dress if you need to be a little more dressy. Either way, you’ll look patriotic and be comfortable all day long!

Catchy Shirts

This is a great option if you have plans all day or not a lot of time to get ready-grab a shirt with a catchy slogan or something that makes you laugh relating to the holiday. Great options include “red, white and boo” “time to get star-spangled hammered” “red, wine and blue” or “star-spangled and sassy!” In my personal opinion, puns and plays on words are always a great choice! No matter what saying you have on your shirt, people will know you’re ready to have fun. Make sure to pair with festive colored sunglasses and matching headband or scarf to complete the look!

Summery Sets

This is a cute option that also gives you two separate clothing items you can wear for the rest of the summer! Don’t worry about getting something too literal with the American flag print (although you totally can!), just find a summery set featuring red, white and blue. Make sure to add accessories to help make the outfit more festive and you’ll be comfy and cute all day!

A ‘lil Extra

Finally, if you go ALL OUT for the fourth of July and are going to throw down the hatchet for the greatest, most patriotic outfit of all time, get a pair of stars and stripes overalls. Opt for a more subtle pair featuring some patriotic details or head over to Shinesty and get the pair below. Extra to the max, paired with the right accessories, people will worship your patriotic power. Although you will probably only wear these on Independence Day, it will make for a holiday you won’t forget!
