15 Famous Temple University Alumni

Alumni are such a big part of any university. They give the school so many things: recognition, donations and publicity, whether it be good or bad. Temple University is no exception. There are so many famous alumni that have put time and money into transforming our campus into what it is today. The things the alumni have accomplished really show that Temple students are really changing the world. To show you what I mean, here are 15 famous Temple University alumni!

1. Jesse Williams

Jesse Williams plays Jackson Avery on Grey’s Anatomy. He also won the humanitarian award at the 2016 BET Awards.

2. Cody Calafiore

Cody Calafiore was on season 16 of Big Brother. He graduated from the Fox School of Business and played soccer!

3. Vincent Fumo

Vince Fumo, a Democrat, represented south Philly in the Philadelphia Senate. After being convicted of 137 federal corruption charges, he was sentenced to 55 years in prison.

4. John F. Street

John Franklin Street served as the 97th Mayor of Philadelphia. He was the second black mayor of Philadelphia.

5. Diplo (Thomas Pentz)

Diplo is a producer, rapper, singer/songwriter. He started his DJ career in Philadelphia and became more and more recognized during his time at Temple.

6. Linda and Terry Jamison

Linda and Terry Jamison are known as the Psychic Twins on YouTube. While attending Temple, they worked as painters and performance artists.

7. Joe Klecko

Joe Klecko is a former American football star, well known for playing on the New York Giants and the New York Jets. He was inducted to Temple’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 1987.

8. Jason McKie

Jason McKie played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2002 after being signed as an undrafted free agent. He achieved the highest GPA among senior football players during his time at Temple.

9. Tamron Hall

Tamron Hall is a broadcast journalist. She did broadcasts on NBC News and had her own show on MSNBC.

10. Marc Lamont Hill

Marc Lamont Hill is a professor of Media Studies and Urban Education at Temple. He is a journalist, activist, and TV personality for BET and CNN.

Aaron Shikler, a graduate of the Tyler School of Art, is famous for his oil painting of John F. Kennedy. He also painted portraits of First Ladies Jacqueline Kennedy and Nancy Reagan.

12. Vincent Hughes

Vincent Hughes, a Democrat, has represented the 7th District since 1994. He also served as chairman of the Pennsylvania Legislative Black Caucus.

13. Ted Bundy

Ted Bundy was a young and charismatic serial killer in the 1970s. Before his execution, after a decade of denials, he confessed to 30 crimes.

14. John Oates

John Oates is an artist from the famous group Hall & Oates. He met Daryl Hall during his time at Temple.

15. Daryl Hall

Our last famous Temple University alumni is Daryl Hall is an artist from the famous group Hall & Oates. He met John Oates during his senior year at Temple.
