Fall Looks That Can Be Worn By Anyone

Clothing trends can often feel discriminatory against women, as many styles and fits only seem to work for women of a select size. In this article we’ll show you some fall looks that anyone can shop for and look good in!

1. Wine/Burgundy Colors

This deep, rich color that falls somewhere between red and purple has been a huge hit these last few years, which is great because it compliments a wider array of skin tones than bright reds. What’s even better is that because burgundy or wine is a color, it comes in an endless parade of options from cardigans to pants to boots to lipstick to hair color. So find your favorite and rock it this fall. Try these burgundy colored jeans for that extra pop of color.

2. Florals

Florals are like burgundy in that they’re super versatile and can be found in a variety of clothing options. Florals are a unique pattern because there are so many variations in this flowery design. Larger floral designs would suit plus-size women more ideally, while subtle floral designs best compliment petite women. Florals can be worn as dresses, blouses, sweaters, leggings, shoes or hair accessories. Try a cute floral dress with tights, boots, and a jacket this fall for a fun day look.

3. Velvet

Velvet is such a timeless fabric and works beautifully for fall looks. It also looks great on anyone because there are so many ways it can be worn. Just find your favorite velvet item and you can’t go wrong. Velvet can be found in an assortment of colors, and can be worn as a  vest, trousers, blouses, dresses, hats or kimonos. It will definitely show off your personality, with its soft beautiful texture.

4. Flair Jeans

While we all love the skinny jeans, flair jeans are a more flattering silhouette for any shape or size. They hug the curves in all the right places, making any woman feeling curvy and sexy, while adding length and width to the lower half of the leg, creating the illusion of extra height. While this style of jean can be pretty long on women with shorter legs, pairing with the right heels should solve that issue. Jeans are also one of those garments that need to be shopped around for until you find the perfect pair, and the flair style is great silhouette to start with.

5. Plaid

Plaid is a fall staple that will probably never go away, but that’s good to know, because with a pattern it comes in so many clothing options that anyone can find something they like. While plaid flannel shirts are super common in the fall, and those work for anyone, try a blanket scarf cardigan. These usually come in a one-size and work for women who are both petite or plus-size. And they keep you cozy on those chilly fall days. Plaid can also be worn as pants, a hat, a regular scarf, or shoes, and they come in so many colors and variety of pattern (bold to small), so they work for everyone.

6. All Black Everything

While some of us wear black year round (not recommended during the heat of the summer), black is most ideal for fall and winter. Black is a neutral and seriously looks great on anyone, no matter their age, body type or skin tone. Wearing all black outfits takes the guess work out of getting dressed in the mornings and keeps thing simple, classy and sophisticated. Not to mention black is great a shaping and hiding any areas that some may wish to draw attention away from.
