Fall Fashion Trends: Shades of Green
As the weather starts to cool down, we can all look forward to wearing our favorite fall styles. Who doesn’t love to wear big, comfy sweaters, or a nice scarf? But there is way more to fall fashion than just that. From classic prints to edgy materials, you can find all sorts of different trends. One leading the way is the color green. Emerald green was chosen Pantone’s color of 2013, and it was apparent on the runways this season. It’s versatility and elegance pair well with other popular shades of green like linden, or with other vibrant colors like bright blue. Don’t forget, at Studentrate, you can get discounts on all your favorite brands in time to update your wardrobe for the fall season!

What’s great about the color green is that it has so many different shades that pair well with different color combinations. You can stick to emerald, or go for a more earthy shade like olive. As camo is another trend that is taking off right now, that’s an easy way to incorporate this color scheme into your wardrobe and kill two birds with one stone.

Another way to add a pop of green is to wear a beanie. Since the punk style is in, beanies have been spotted everywhere, taking the place of hair jewelry and floral headbands which were popular all summer. Now you can keep your head warm and look trendy while doing it. But green also looks good as a simple dress or a skirt paired with a colorful top (leopard print?). If there’s one thing you can be certain of this fall, is that no one should be shying away from bold colors. Having a few pieces of green clothing is a great way to burst into the color world.
