Fall DIY Ideas To Help Bring In The Season

With the wonderful season of Fall fast approaching, it’s almost time to take down the inflatable pools and summer gear, and bring in the season. One of the lovely things about fall is that you don’t need to spend lots of money on decorations for your home. There are numerous things you make by yourself to celebrate the beautiful season! With that said, here are the best fall DIY (do it yourself) ideas to help bring in the season!

Pumpkin Candles

The staple symbol of the season of Fall is the pumpkin. There are so many things you can do with the pumpkin, and your creativity is the limit here. Topping our list are the pumpkin candles, which are not only adorable, but extremely cost effective and easy to make.

All you need to do is hollow out the pumpkin, melt the candle wax, and pour it into the hole. You can get some pumpkin spice fragrance to make the aroma soothing if you’d like.

Place the candle anywhere; inside your fireplace, or on your countertop for everyone to see the beauty.

Cinnamon Pinecones

Cinnamon scented pinecones are another decoration piece that you cannot forget to have during fall. They’re loved by all who see them, have an enticing scent, and are very visually appealing. These take very little time to make, and will be completely worth your while.

They are often put into a basket or a vase at your front door, greeting your guests into your wonderful home.

If you have a pine tree (if not, pinecones are inexpensive), you’re in luck, as you just have to collect a few, wash thoroughly, and rinse them. You then put the pines into a baking tray, and bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 45 minutes.

After they begin to open up, spray the cinnamon on them, and leave them to dry off in a closed container. And that’s it! Now all you have to do is display your beautiful cinnamon pinecones for all to see and appreciate the new season!

Autumn Leaf Wreath

Wreaths are such a beautiful sight, no matter the season, and making them with autumn leaves really brings in the season. The process of actually making the leaf wreaths is very enjoyable, to say the least, and will leave you wanting to make this a yearly tradition.

Take a walk outside and pick your selection of any fallen leaves (try to pick those that fell recently). All you need after that are twigs (you can use a paper plate instead), some glue, a pair of scissors, and any further decorations (like a ribbon if you’d like). You can do make the wreath with kids or the elderly, as it’s a fully fun activity to do. The end result looks great, and fully brings in the season.

Autumn Leaf Mason Jar Candle Holders

Mason candle holders are such a pleasing sight, as the autumn leaves inside them are lit, showing their rich color variety. These are very easy to make, and can last for years (great durability as well).

You can decorate these however you want, and they cost less than five dollars to make. All you need is a mason jar, some fall leaves (doesn’t matter if they’re real or fake), and some mod podge.

You glue a leaf on the inside of one side of the jar, and begin making layers until you are satisfied with the look. Ribbons are usually used to finish off the look of the candle holder, and you finally place the candle inside the jar after you’re done with the leaves.

Now, just enjoy your beautiful autumn candleholder!
