6 Fall Date Night Outfits Sure To Impress

Fall is the perfect time of year to put together cute outfits, but what about when you’ve just been asked out and need an outfit that will impress your date when they take you out? Planning date outfits can be stressful, but don’t over think it. Here are 6 fall date night outfits to try next time that will wow your date!

1.  Skirt + Tights + Boots

A skirt has long been considered the perfect garment to wear on a date, but if the night air is chilly int the fall, pairing your skirt with black opaque tights and a heel, calf-high boot makes for a sexy and flattering outfit, that will keep your legs from freezing.

Depending on the style of skirt, if you’ve chosen a knee-high pencil skirt for example, a leather jacket would compliment this look beautifully. You could also try a longer, knee-length coat to keep you extra warm but still looking on-point.

2. Edgy

For an edgier take on this outfit, keep that leather jacket and find a shorter skirt to go with your tights and pair this with some leather booties. Top it off with a fedora and you’ve got a chic, sexy look that will, no doubt, impress your date.

3. Add A Pop Of Color

Outfits for a night out on the town are traditionally a darker color scheme, and that’s perfect going out on a date. After all, black is sexy, black is neutral and black is flattering to any skin tone or body type. But having a bright pop of color in the form of a scar, boots, big chunky bold jewelry or even your coat paired with an all-black ensemble is eye-catching and memorable. Handbags are also another great way to add that accent color to a monochrome outfit.

4. Long-Sleeve Dress

Long-sleeve, above the knee dresses are so cute and so fashionable but literally you can only wear them for like 3 days in the fall and 3 days in the spring. They’re just not the most practical clothing garment in your closet. However, when you get the chance to wear that pretty long-sleeve dress it would be ideal for a date night! Pairs perfectly with most heels and boots, tights and jackets or coats.

If you’re dress is a solid, neutral color like black, consider wearing colorful tights or a colorful jacket overtop. If you’re dress is patterned or has bold colors, don’t overwhelm it by pairing it with too many other bold pieces except maybe colorful jewelry, a colorful scarf or boots. Keeping the tights and jacket more neutral.

5. White With Bold Patterns

For an outfit that is totally unique and memorable go the opposite route of dark fall color schemes, and wear white! You know the rule about not wearing white after labor day? Yeah, fuck that. Kick it up a notch by pairing that something white with a bold pattern like the outfit shown here. A beautiful, slimming white short dress and a black and white patterned coat to compliment it beautifully. And if it’s not too chilly, those patterned tights are cute too!

6. Keep It Casual

Depending on the activities of your date night, you might not want to get to gussied up. Dresses and heels are not super practical if you’re having to do a lot of walking or if you’re going bowling (unless you’re confident about bowling in a short skirt, go for it!) But with that in mind, if your date night goes beyond a simple dinner and the movies, consider keeping your outfit more comfortable and practical. You can still wow your date in sleek black jeans, or if you have faux leather, tight pants those will surely impress them! A leather jacket or nice coat, paired with a scarf to go with your black jeans y is still a perfectly acceptable outfit for date night.
