Fall Cake Recipes Perfect For An Autumn Party

The leafy season has arrived! These chilly afternoons call for hot chocolate and delicious cakes to come along on your autumn parties with friends and family. That’s why we bring you two delicious and restaurant-worthy fall cake recipes you might want to try to get a star-plus on the next autumn party you host!

1. Maple Cake With Maple Streusel

This cake is packed with a natural, pure and rich maple flavoring throughout, definitely one of our favorite fall cake recipes. Its pair with a maple buttercream and maple streusel to add to you cold, heart-warming parties!

For making this cake you will need:

  • 2 1/4cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4tsp baking powder
  • 3/4tsp salt
  • 3/4cup unsalted butter room temperature
  • 1/2cup light brown sugar or maple sugar
  • 3large eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/2tsp vanilla
  • 1cup maple syrup room temperature
  • 1/4cup maple liqueur or whole milk

For the maple streusel:

  • 1cup all-purpose flour
  • 1cup maple sugar
  • 6Tbsp unsalted butter melted (6-8 Tbsp)

For the maple swiss meringue buttercream:

  • 6large egg whites
  • 2cups maple sugar
  • 3cups unsalted butter room temperature, cubed
  • 6Tbsp maple liqueur or maple syrup

Now just follow these simple steps!

1. Start by whisking together the flour, baking powder and salt until well combined.

2. Combine maple syrup and maple liqueur or milk.

3. Using a stand mixer beat sugar and butter until its fluffy. Reduce the speed when this happens and add the eggs one by one, incorporating them well. Add the vanilla.

4. Add part of the flour mixture and part of the maple mixture until they are all well incorporated. Pour into the greased molds and bake for 30-35 or until a toothpick comes clean when inserted. The oven must be 350F.

5. To start with the maple streusel, you should whisk the flour and maple sugar, adding melted butter until it starts clumping.

6. Spread the mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes on 350F, remove and let it cool.

7. For the buttercream place the egg whites and maple sugar in a bowl and whisk until well combined.

8. Place the bowl over a double boiler on the stove and whisk constantly until is no grainy anymore.

9. Remove from heat and whisk on medium through high until the meringue is stiff and cool.

10. Add the buttercups slowly and mix until smooth. Add the maple liqueur or syrup and whip until smooth.

11. To assembly the cake starts by placing one layer of cake on a serving plate and drizzle it with maple syrup if desire. Top it with buttercream evenly spread and add maple streusel.

12. Repeat until the final layer and crumb coat it and chill it in the fridge for about 20 minutes.

2. Chai Spice Tea Cake

This chai spice tea cake is a mixture of cream cheese frosting, caramel sauce and pistachios with the unique spiciness of chai tea. A perfect fall cake recipe to match any autumn party you feel like throwing this season!

For making this cake you will need:

  • 1cup Milk Warm
  • 8Tea bags Vanilla spiced chai tea flavor
  • 1cup Butter Unsalted
  • 1 1/2cups Granulated sugar
  • 4Eggs Large
  • 1tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4tsp Ginger Finely grated
  • 2cups All-purpose flour
  • 2tsp Baking powder
  • 1tsp Baking soda
  • 1 1/2tsp Cinnamon powder
  • 1/4tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/4tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 1/4tsp Cloves powder

For the frosting, filling and decorations:

  • 2cups Cream cheese frosting
  • 1cup Spiced caramel sauce
  • 1/2cup Pistachio

Now just follow these simple steps!

1. Pour the warm milk in a bowl and add the tea bags. Let them sit for about 10 minutes and discard the bags.

2. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy, add the eggs one at a time while still mixing.

3. Add the vanilla extract and ground ginger while still mixing.

4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and all the spices in a different bowl.

5. Mix the dry mixture and wet mixture together while adding the chai milk until juts combine.

6. Pour the mixture on the greased molds and bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes clean at 350F

7. When the cake is cool, place one layer of the cake and frost with part of the cream cheese frosting.

8. Pour some caramel sauce on the edges on the cake and repeat step seven with all the cake layers.

9. Frost the top of the cake and toss some pistachios.
