One of the best ways to treat yourself is with a beautifying face mask; however store-bought masks often have a lot of ingredients included in them. To avoid this, here are 15 DIY face masks that have four ingredients, or less, for an organic glow! From clay to peeling face masks, we’ve got something for everyone!
Hibiscus flowers are not only one of nature’s most beautiful flowers, but are also high in Vitamin C. By applying a mixture of a tablespoon of hibiscus powder, a tablespoon of bentonite clay and two tablespoons of hot water to your face, letting it dry completely before removal, you’ll soon find yourself fresh faced and purified!
Get green with this spirulina face mask, which tightens skin tissue and helps to get rid of acne. Spirulina is also rich in antioxidants which reduces sun damage. Create your mask by mixing one teaspoon of spirulina powder, one teaspoon of honey and 1/4 teaspoon of water, leaving it to set for twenty minutes. This mask is also great for soothing sensitive skin.
For especially stressful days, try this oatmeal floral mask that soothes and moisturises the skin, with florals like either dried rose petals or dried lavender, to calm your senses and relax. To make this mask, blend together 1/4 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of dried lavender (or rose, whichever you prefer), to create a powder base, then add a few drops of matching essential oils and 2 tablespoons of water. Apply to clean skin, leaving it to dry for at least 10 minutes, and watch as your worries melt away!
If you’re looking for face masks that are just purely for your skins overall health and benefit, this mask will work wonders! Our skin is always getting attacked with dirt, oils, pollution and makeup, so this nourishing mask is perfect for when your skin needs a little attention. Make this mask from a 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder, two teaspoons of rice flour, two to three drops of honey and two to three drops of either milk or water.
This is a face mask perfect for a girls night in! Indulge your skin with chocolate and strawberries that assist in cell regeneration, reduces blemishes and makes your skin incredibly soft. Use four strawberries, 1/2 tablespoon of honey, one tablespoon of yoghurt and two tablespoons of cocoa powder for a delicious concoction you can use on your face or eat with a spoon! Allow this mask to sit for at least 15-20 minutes.
After a few hours out in the sun, often times we notice a bit of sun damage on our skin; sunburn, acne and dark spots to name a few. This is where aloe vera comes in to save the day. With just 1/2 an avocado, 1/2 a ripe banana, one tablespoon of olive oil and 15-20 minutes, this mask moisturises, reduces redness and irritation and helps to repair damaged, dull skin.

While this mask does nothing to wake up your brain in the morning, it does tighten your pores, exfoliates and accelerates scar healing. To create this mask, use two teaspoons of bentonite clay, one teaspoon of coffee grounds (fresh or recycled will do), one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for anti-bacterial and cleaning purposes, and an essential oil of your choice. Let it semi-dry for about 15 minutes before washing off with a warm, damp cloth.

To make your skin as glowy and fresh as possible, create this mask using three tablespoons of rolled oats (grounded), one tablespoon of manuka honey, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric and a squeeze of lemon juice. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. This face mask is great to keep that summer glow all year round!

Made with one teaspoon of honey, one teaspoon of cinnamon and one teaspoon of nutmeg, this spicy concoction eliminates blackheads and smoothes and stimulates the skin, leaving it soft and glowing. Leave it on for 30 minutes or less depending on how sensitive your skin is.

Using two tablespoons of our favourite ingredient- bentonite clay, one teaspoon of virgin coconut oil, 1/2 tablespoon of raw honey and the juice of half a lemon, combine the mixture and apply, leaving it on for 10 minutes.
This last mask is probably one of the most popular face masks around, renowned for removing blackheads and targeting problems areas, such as the nose or the chin. But instead of buying a mask with too many unrecognisable ingredients, try this DIY mask with just three, highly recognisable ingredients! Combine together 3 charcoal caps, 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint oil and 1-2 tablespoons of liquid white glue, applying to clean skin and leaving it for 10 minutes until it becomes dry.
