10 Exciting Concerts Happening Near Sonoma State University This Fall

As musically obsessed college students, we are always on the lookout for upcoming concerts, especially after spending most of our time in the quiet wine country that is home to Sonoma State. Whether you’re looking to indulge in your early 2000’s R&B nostalgia, harmonize your broken heart away, or get loud with the hottest rappers, this list will offer you some inspiration for your next night of entertainment.

1. Twenty One Pilots

Perhaps your music taste was founded in bands like Fall Out Boy or Panic! at the Disco and you’re a bit of an alternative junkie; you wouldn’t regret attending this upcoming concert at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on November 3rd. Following the release of their fourth album Blurryface, Twenty One Pilots took an almost three year hiatus. Now, they are coming to the stage in all of their pop-punk glory to deliver their 2019 album Trench. A little over an hour drive from campus, this show will give you much to ponder about love, mental health, and loss, making it an experience worth your evening.

2. BROCKHAMPTON

This upcoming concert on November 8th features BROCKHAMPTON, the unique rap collective born out of a Kanye West fan site in 2015. Perhaps you’re in the mood for something a little weird, or you’re getting a little tired of the conventional rap out right now. If that’s the case, you’d probably be glad you were on this scene. Frost Amphitheater in Stanford is one of the farther venues on this list, about an hour and a half drive from campus, but its beautiful outdoor setting would be worth the trip in itself.

Maybe you’re more of a SoundCloud rap fan and you don’t mind some mosh pits raging around you; November 8th at the Warfield might prove a night well-spent for you.
