Everything Your Body Physically Goes Through After A Breakup

Breakups can be hard. They may be worse than getting shot straight in the heart. Everyone handles their breakups differently, but we all experience similar feelings in the process. These stages describe what your body physically experiences after a breakup.

1. Accepting the fact that it’s over.

At first, you’re going to deny the fact that it is real. You may not want it to be over, or maybe you do, but either way, it won’t feel real for a while. Not having someone in your life who you became so used to having can be a huge adjustment.

2. Wondering where you went wrong.

Was it you? Were you too much? Or maybe you weren’t enough? It’s hard to decipher whether you did something wrong, or if they just weren’t the one for you. Either way, you’ll probably blame yourself for something.

3. Crying from feeling lost.

You aren’t going to know who to turn to for a while, because normally you would turn to them. Yeah, you have your friends, but they’ve heard enough of your heartbreak. So you’re going to cry and not know how to fix your broken heart.

4. Getting your ass up and deciding it’s time to move on.

This is the hardest part after a breakup because most of the time people do not want to move on; they don’t want change. Eventually, everyone has to move forward and mend their broken heart. Go out, meet some hotties, and forget about your ex.

5. Although you tried to move on, you’re still gonna think about them.

“I wonder what he’s doing right now,” “Did he meet someone new? Or is he thinking about me too.” These are some of the many questions we ask ourselves when we think about our exes. You’re gonna miss them, and the thought of them will always be in your mind somehow.

6. Resisting the urge to text them.

Do not text your ex after a breakup. It will leave you unhappy in the end. If he answers, it’ll be something you do not want to hear. Then if he doesn’t, you’ll just be mad at yourself for even reaching out. If your ex wants to talk, leave it to them to reach out. Be the bigger person, and show him you don’t need him.

7. Lastly, you will move forward.

You’ll feel it too. Each day, you’re going to think about your ex a little less without even realizing. Blocking them on social media can help this process a lot, so you don’t have to see what they’re up to. Fnally, one day, your ex won’t even cross your mind.
