Introductions
Introductions are basic icebreakers. In this part of sorority recruitment, you have to be the most casual. It is a basic conversation in which you say your name, talk about your major, explain where you are from, discuss what your hobbies are, and so on. Do not be afraid of this part, because it is simply just talking to the recruiters and learning more about one another, especially since you will know these people for the rest of your life and they will be a huge part of your college experience!
Philanthropy
At this time, sororities will talk about community service and moral values. Here is the part that sorority recruiters will take the biggest look at because this part determines a lot if you will fit into the moral standing of the sorority. Along with this, you will be able to see what each sorority values in their charities and how they contribute to volunteer work. This is important because you will differentiate what is meaningful to you based on these charities.

Preference (or Pref) day is the day that you come out to shine. You have chosen between a couple of sororities and you are finally ready to find out which crowd you ultimately belong in. Preference night is usually the ultimate night to remember because this party will be wild enough for you to let yourself go loose and talk about things that are meaningful to you. You’ll also to what the sisterhood is like!
Here, you will dress in a stunning fashion and have a great time with the girls. This is the fun part, to be honest. Have a blast and be yourself, because this is where the sorority recruitment process is almost over and you need to make a decision!
Bid Day
Bid day is the day that you have been waiting for. Here, you are given the envelope with your sorority letters. At this time, you will be extremely excited that the sorority process is over, but you also have to be okay if you do not get a bid from the sorority you wanted. If it does not work out, it is not the end of the world. Bid day is an exciting day, especially since all the stress is over. Overall, have a good time and let yourself burst out in excitement over your new sisterhood!
