Everything You Need To Know About Tattoo Eyebrows

Whether you are sick of drawing in your eyebrows every single day or want to find the most natural way to have care-free flawless brows, tattoo eyebrows may be for you. Tattoo eyebrows, also known as microblading, tattoo embroidering, and cosmetic tattooing, is a semi-permanent procedure where “natural-like” strokes are made with a microblading pen. This is different than a tattoo because there are no tattoo guns involved and the pigment that is used matches the natural color of your eyebrows.

The Procedure

The entire procedure can take anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours. It all depends on where you go and who your technician is. To be honest, I’d rather sit there for two hours if that meant that my eyebrows were guaranteed to be flawless.

When you go, it is recommended that you come with your eyebrows done the way you usually do. If you draw them in, go with them drawn in. This gives the technician the best idea of how you want your eyebrows and what look you are going for.

Once you get started, the technician will draw the shape of your eyebrow that they are going to follow. This process can take up to 30 minutes for them to get it perfect. After that, a numbing ointment is going to be applied to help with the normal pain that can happen during the microblading.

After letting the numbing cream sit, the technician will begin. It is a constant blading motion, so there is obviously going to be some level of discomfort. After doing the first brow, the technician will show you to make sure that it is just how you want it.

After The Procedure

Many salons will offer you an ointment to help soothe your brows and you should definitely buy it. It’s important that you continuously care for your brows to make them last longer!

Possible Side Effects

Just like any tattoo or foreign thing to your skin, your body may reject the microblading. If this happens, chances are your tattoo will fade within a few days from your pores pushing the pigments out. Some salons offer touch ups if this happens. But, that can be costly and very irritating for your brows.

The cost of tattoo eyebrows can vary anywhere from $250-$400 dollars. This amount depends on the salon and after-care options.

All in all, tattoo eyebrows are a really great solution if you have trouble with getting your eyebrows to look the way you want!
