Hello fellow travelers, are you ready for your next adventure? The destination is the best part of the trip but getting there could take lots and lots of time. You’re too busy packing for your trip that you may not think about what to pack for your time on the plane ride over. That part can be frustrating too since there are certain TSA requirements and only so much room in your carry on and/or handbag. If you’ve never been outside of the country you may feel like bringing everything you think you will need but never actually end up using. To help you with that here are Essentials You Need For Long Flights.
On long flights where you will be sleeping on the plane it’s important to have a big enough carry on or handbag, or at least as big of a bag as you are allowed. It’s important that your carryon is durable and reliable, after all you don’t want to have to worry about it ripping open because of the poor quality of the material it is made out of. For women, you may want to bring a handbag as well to have more space for things and so you can store your more smaller and easy to grab items. If you plan on bringing a handbag I suggest a tote bag or cross body bag so that you can throw it over your shoulder so and be on your way. But choose one with zippers as to ensure that nothing will fall out once you close the bag.

On long flights- well pretty much on every flight it will be cold. Bringing a pair of socks you know will keep you warm will make your plane time much more enjoyable. You can go tall or short, depending on how cold your feet get. These are super easy to transport and hardly take up any room in your bag. You can be cute and flirty or support your favorite sports team, as long as you’re comfortable while doing it. Socks can also keep your feet from contracting any bad bacteria so you can go be cute and healthy enough for more trips in the future.

Again long flights can be cold so brining a sweatshirt can avoid you having to ask the flight attendant for another blanket. I recommend bringing an oversized fit so that you are able to move around, feel more relaxed and avoid that uncomfortable feeling when your sweatshirt can’t cover your lower back and exposes the area to the cold temperature. A hoodie would also suffice in this case and can help you block out any light if you decide to pull the hood over your head. They are also perfect for layering, put a jean jacket over it or a coat for a more everyday but chic look.

You need a comfortable pair of pants for long flights. Along with the sweatshirt, and fuzzy socks this will help you stay warm. I know you’re probably thinking that sweatpants, a sweatshirt and fuzzy socks will be too suffocating and hot but you can easily switch these out for something lighter, it all depends on you. Leggings will be able to move with your body whereas the sweatpants may be too loose so choose whichever style suits you best.
