10 Easy Updos For People With Long Hair

Having long hair can tend to be annoying and sometimes you just want to get it out of your face. Look no further because here are ten easy updos for people with long hair.

Bun

This updo is one of the easiest that you can do, especially with long hair. Having long hair can be both a blessing and a curse, some days it just gets too much and you need it out of your face. If this is the case for you then putting you bun is a great option for you. There are several ways that you can put your hair up in a bun, but for me I will usually start out like I am putting my hair in a ponytail and then twist the ponytail and keep twisting it into a bun. Once I do that I will then tie it up with a rubber band. If you feel like this is too hard then an easier way to do this is by putting your hair in a ponytail first and then twist the ponytail into a bun before putting a ruberband around it. Once you can do that you got yourself an easy everyday hairstyle.

Braided ponytail

If you are like me then you doing a ponytail every other day can start yo get boring, you may want to spice it up a bit. Well this easy updo it guaranteed to add a little flare to the everyday ponytail. Once you have your hair in a ponytail, you will then braid that hair and tie it off with a ruberband. Whenever I do this hairstyle, I like to use a smaller clear rubberband to tie off the bottom because personally I think it looks better. Then there you have it, a fun new look with a ponytail.

Dutch braids

If you are tired of doing plain old French braids everyday, then dutch braids are the perfect way to switch things up. I find that doing dutch braids yourself are quite easier than doing regular braids. For dutch braids you will want to start off the same way as French braids, making sure that you have sectioned off the hair to two sides of your head. Once you start to braid one side, instead of taking the pieces over like a French braid, you will go under instead. keep going under as you add hair to the braids. Once you finish braiding, braid the other side and then you’ve got yourself some dutch braids!

French twist

A French twist is fun and easy updo that adds a bit of flare to the simple updo of a ponytail. To start out you will want to part your hair however you like it. Once it is parted you will start on one side, taking a chunk of hair and sectioning off into two sections. Once you have the sections you will then wrap the bottom section over the top and then add hair from the bottom. The more you keep doing this, the more that it will look like a twist. Repeat these steps to the other side and then put the remaining hair in the back into a ponytail or if you wish, a low bun.

Single Braid into Ponytail

For this easy updo you can either do a French braid or a dutch braid. First you will want to part your hair to one side. On the side that is parted over more will be the side that you do a braid. Once you have braid that side of your head you will then tie the braid with a clear hair tie. With the remaining hair that is not in a braid you will then sweep back into a ponytail! This look is simple and easy, but also very fun!

Two Braids into a Bun

This look is a very easy updo, that is so simple to do. You will want to start off like you are about to put your hair in two braids. After you do this then decide whether you want to do French or dutch braids. Once you have completed both of your braids you will then take the braid and remaining hair and twist it, preparing it for a bun. Once you have done this then you can tie the hair back with a rubber band and then you’ve got yourself a fun and cool updo for the summer!

Low Pony Twist

Sometimes throwing your hair back into a ponytail can get really boring and you want to switch it up, well this easy updo is perfect. For me, I like this look better if your hair is wavy or curled, it adds more to the look. First you will take your hair back into a low pony, then you will want to loosen the pony a bit so that you can grab the hair that is above the rubberband holding your hair in. Separate the hair that is above the pony it separate it so that you are able to loop the pony tail through the hair. Once you do this you will have a twist into a ponytail!
