6 Easy Snacks to Make When You Have The Munchies

When you have the munchies, sometimes a bag of chips just doesn’t do it for you but a whole meal is too much. Next time the high cravings hit you hard, make these quick and easy snacks. I promise they will hit the spot.

1. S’moresĀ

Do your munchies have you craving something sweet? You don’t need a campfire to make s’mores, just throw some marshmallows in a pan until they reach that perfect golden brown then smack them between two gram crackers and a piece of chocolate and you have the perfect high snack. If you have a campfire available, that’s even better!

2. English Muffin Pizzas

Tempted to order pizza? Save the money and the over-stuffed stomach and make your own mini pizzas. Just cut an English muffin in half and lather it up with tomato sauce then sprinkle on your favorite cheese and throw it in the oven or toaster oven for 5-7 minutes. This is an easy munchies recipe to get creative with, too. Check out your fridge and load on the toppings if you’re feeling extra hungry or use a bagel as a base instead!

3. Nachos

Sometimes tortilla chips are just too plain by themselves when you have the munchies. Put a portion on a plate or tray and sprinkle on some cheese to make easy nachos. The cool thing about this snack is that you can cook them in the microwave, oven, or toaster oven, so take your pick! If you want your nachos ready super fast, then the microwave will melt the cheese in under a minute. If you want some more traditional and crispy nachos and you’re willing to wait a little longer, the toaster oven or the oven will have them done in under ten minutes. Add your favorite salsa on the side and munch away. If you’re feeling extra hungry, mash up an avocado and make some guacamole.

4. Avocado Toast

It’s super easy to binge in an unhealthy way when you have the munchies, but avo toast is a great healthier option that still fills that craving. Toast some bread then spread half an avocado across your toast with some salt and pepper. Get funky by adding a drizzle of hot sauce or balsamic glaze. If you’re really hungry throw a fried egg on top for some protein.

Okay, so you’ve probably had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but have you had a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich when you’re high? Well, today is the day to try it. Pick the peanut butter of your choice (crunchy or smooth) and your favorite jelly, spread it between two pieces of bread, and throw the sandwich in a frying pan with some butter then cook it like a grilled cheese. 6. Cheese and Crackers

This might sound boring but there are so many ways to make it creative with different types of cheese like garlic and herb goat cheese, baked brie, add some prosciutto or pepperoni, throw in a bunch of grapes, anything! Head to your local grocery store and check out their cheese section (Whole Food’s cheese selection is the best) and you’ll be dying to make a cheese board. Cheese and wine are known to be a perfect pair but cheese and the munchies may just have them tied.

When you have the munchies it is super easy to binge on the weirdest snacks and food creations that often leave you with a stomach ache. It’s also easy to ball out on some Uber eats when you can’t really afford it. Avoid all that and plan out your next high snack with one of these easy options.Ā
