25 Easy Pumpkin Carving Ideas To Try This Fall

It’s Halloween, and you’re ready to carve your pumpkins! But, gosh, if you can’t come up with anything new, than it looks like it’ll be the same, traditional pumpkin face again this year. Don’t worry though! Here’s some pumpkin carving ideas to get you inspired to be fun and creative this Halloween season!

1. Candy Dispenser Pumpkin

This simple bucket-style pumpkin carving is perfect for when you want to bring a bit more flare when you leave your candy outside of your house. It’s practical, cute, and you don’t run the risk of someone jacking your plate!

2. Beanbag Toss Pumpkins

This is a really fun and funny way to implement games this Halloween by making a simple beanbag toss with these pumpkins! You could also get your kids, if you have any, to help with this game.

You could also make it so that the size of the candy is hinged on whether you make it in or not! For example, if the player doesn’t throw the beanbag into the pumpkins after three tries, they get normal sized candy. If they do make it in, then they get a huge candy bar!

3. Simple Polka Dot Pattern

If you’re really not feeling the whole beanbag toss, you just want something low-effort, or you don’t really celebrate Halloween but like Autumn, then this is for you.  Take a drill, and just drill some holes in a pattern on a pumpkin.

It’s simple, low-effort, and also looks really pretty at night! This pumpkin carving will look like beautiful twinkling lights at night.

4. Cookie Cutter Pumpkin

Okay, think of a pattern, any pattern. No, not that one. How can you make this pumpkin carving process much easier? You can totally use a cookie cutter to cut out a pattern on your pumpkin. It’s much easier than trying to cut out a face or anything, and it’s more unique!

Plus, if you’ve got kids, this will be a cute activity to do with them as well. It’s an adorably simple pumpkin carving idea that you’ll totally love.

5. Mummy Pumpkin

This is much cooler kind of design. This mummy pumpkin carving doesn’t need much, just a strong arm, and a good knife, along with a few grapes.

Cut the pumpkin into sections, and mismatch the sections of the — preferably white — pumpkin, or get two white pumpkins, and switch some of the pieces together. If you don’t have an already white pumpkin, white paint is the way to go.

Then, once you’re done, use the grapes for the eyes! And also for a nice snack.

6. Cannibal Pumpkin

This spooky pumpkin carving makes your pumpkin look like a cannibal! It’s that traditional Jack-O’-Lantern face, but a spooky twist. The pumpkin is eating a smaller pumpkin!

Again, pretty simple, but it still looks really cool.
