12 Easy July 4th Hairstyles Anyone Can Pull Off

It’s almost that time of the year again to enjoy cookouts and fireworks. Keep your hair cute and simple with these 10 July fourth hairstyles.

1. Ponytail

This is one of the July fourth hairstyles that you can keep simple. A ponytail is the best way to keep your hair out of your face and show off your fabulous facial features. Just pull all of your hair back together and tie it up with a scrunchie. To make it more festive get a scrunchie that it red, white, and blue, with stars or sparkles to represent the American flag and its colors.

2. Messy Half Bun

July fourth hairstyles don’t have to be difficult to do. This style is simple to create and can be worn throughout the whole day. To create this style part your hair in half. The bottom part of your hair would be worn loose. The top half can be brushed into a ponytail and then twirled around the base to make a bun. After the bun is created to give the messy look pull out some of your baby hairs on the sides.

3. Hair Color Spray

In honor of Fourth of July rock the red, white, and blue in your hair. Since the event is only for a day, temporary hair spray will suffice. Color sprays usually last for about a day maybe 2. If you choose to leave it in your hair longer, you can potentially damage your hair. You will draw a lot of attention representing the love and honor you have for your country. When the fun is all over you can just wash out the spray and go on about your day.

4. Waves

This is one of the July fourth hairstyles that takes the longest to create but the results are amazing. To create amazing waves in my hair I love using the curling iron wand, it’s so awesome. To create the best waves your hair has ever rocked you will need a cotton glove (to avoid burning your fingers), hair serum, and a thin comb, this is optional but may come in handy to keep your waves even. To start, make sure your hair is dry and tangle-free, wet hair will not hold a curl and would be a waste of time. Either with your hand or the comb section your hair in small pieces that you can curl at a time. Apply serum to each section before you apply heat, this will protect your hair as well as give it a little shine. Wrap your hair from the root and point the iron down and please point it away from your face. We don’t want a tragedy to occur. If your goal is to have loose waves, then make your sections bigger. When you have your desired waves make sure to spray on some hair spray so that the waves will keep their shape.

5. Sleek High Bun

This July fourth hairstyle will show off your face. I like this hairstyle because it fits all hair; long, short, thick, curly, straight, bangs and no bangs, it doesn’t discriminate. I find to make sure you get this sleek look you will need gel wax. You will brush your hair together to the top of your head and create a bun. Gel your hair down and don’t forget your baby hairs. Style them baby hairs however you please. Then viola you are done. This can be done in less than 10 minutes. To add that fourth of July twist add a red scrunchie to your bun.

6. Pigtails

Since I am a woman and no longer a child, I prefer this look with low ponytails at the nape, than classic ones that are worn on the top of your head. This style can look flawless and at the same time be effortless. These are 2 great combinations. I love the sleek look! You will just comb your hair into 2 sections on each side of your head. Then lay down each side with gel or whatever you use to hold your hair in place. Once it is laid, braid your hair down to the tips. To make these pigtails fit the Fourth of July theme on the tips add the holiday colored clips or pins to them. Spray your braids to keep them in place while you enjoy your Fourth of July.

7. Headband

Wear your hair down and let it blow in the wind with this July fourth hairstyle. This look is very versatile and for some requires little to no work. Not me, this style requires a lot of work and elbow grease, but for the Fourth of July it’s worth it. When you are ready to start your Fourth of July festivities just pop on your red, white, and blue headband and join the party. I love to straighten my hair when I have the time to do so and when the weather permits. I start by placing my hair into small sections and applying the serum to each strand. I run the straightener over the same area about 3-4 times or until I get the desired look. This process takes patience and about an hour to complete. The results are amazing and last for a few days.

8. Ribbon Braid

This look is a way to add a little fun to your hair without adding chemicals or spending too much time on it. You won’t need too many things to make this style, just 3 ribbons (red, white, and blue), comb, brush, and a hair tie. Your hair would need to be washed and tangle-free, this will make creating the braid a lot easier and less painful. Put your hair into a ponytail anywhere on your head. Bobby pin the ribbons to the hair tie that is currently holding your hair together. Now part your hair into 3 even sections and each section will have a ribbon. Braid your hair tightly to the tip as usual and then use a hair tie to secure the braid.

9. Low Bun

This is one of the July fourth hairstyles that’s super easy to create and I love easy. You just need a brush, bobby pins; red, blue, and white, and a hair tie. Brush your hair to your nape and get the hair tie and make a bun. Then pin down any loose hair and if you don’t have any place them on the side on your head to show off the colors. Then that’s it. You are ready for your July fourth festivities.

10. Accessories

Wear your hair the way you feel comfortable with and just add a bow, bandana, or a scrunchie to it. The smallest things can make the biggest difference. Plus on this day you want to be comfortable so that you can have the most fun.

11. One Braid

This style is simple and can be completed in less than 5 minutes. You just get a small section of your hair from the front and braid it individually to the tip. then you gather the rest of your hair into a ponytail. To ensure that the braid stays secure pin it down with a red, blue, and white bobby pins. The more pins you have the better it would be.

12. Bandana

The trend of rocking a bandana is back and you can definitely wear one on this special day. Your July fourth hairstyles should be what you want it to be. Style your hair in your desired choice and then wrap it up with a red, white and blue banana. Since your hair would be covered you don’t have to go too elaborate on your hair.

You should rock these July fourth hairstyles they will make you look fabulous as well as stand out in a crowd.
