10 Easy Hairstyles When You’re In A Rush
Whether you’re late for work, class, or just cannot be bothered to do your hair, these 10 easy hairstyles can be done in less than ten minutes. You can do so much with just a simple braid that you’ll look like you actually tried. You can add in buns, hair scarfs, or clips to spice things up a bit too! If you want quick and easy, these are my go-to’s when I am in a rush. Give them a try and see how you like them!
1. Crossover Ponytail
This is such an easy hairstyle, you could probably do it with your eyes close while getting ready for that dreaded morning class. This type of hairstyle is meant to be messy so don’t worry about perfection. Leave two sections down by the sides of your ears and pull the rest of your hair back into a ponytail. Then, take each section and cross them over top of each other and underneath the hair already in a ponytail. Tie in place underneath and you’re done!
You can pull out strands of hair to frame your face and fluff up your ponytail a bit to make the look messier and more relaxed.
2. Pull Through Braid
This can be a bit tricky when you first learn how to do it, but once you get the hang of it, you can do it super quick! This easy hairstyle creates a very elegant look, which you can even wear out to a date or event. You can even create variations to this braid as well to keep things fresh.
Pull a section of your hair, starting from your temples, up and secure with an elastic band. Then pull up the tail end and clip out of the way. Then pull another section of hair from each side of your hair directly below the top ponytail and secure it. Unclip the first ponytail, so you should have two ponytails on top of each other. Now split the top ponytail in half and wrap the sections around and underneath the second ponytail and secure.
Repeat each step until you reach the end of your hair, or you can stop short for a longer tail-end or wrap the end into a bun.
3. Twisted Buns
This is one of the cutest and girliest hairstyles, not to mention super easy! This reminds me so much of my childhood growing up in the 90s. You can wear them lower toward the base of your neck, or pull them up on the top of your head.
Part your hair down the middle and secure the other section out of the way. Twist a section of your hair, starting from the middle of your eyebrow as a reference, down to the base of your neck. Twist in the rest of your hair and wrap your hair around itself to create a bun. Do the same on the other side to complete the look. If you need to secure your buns in place, you can add more elastic or bobby pins.
4. Half-up, Half-down Pull-out
This is easy as easy gets with this hairstyle. You don’t need much effort to create this simple but cute look. Pull your hair into a half-up half-down ponytail and secure with a hair tie or elastic. Then tie sections off with elastics a couple inches apart from each other. Once you’ve sectioned your hair how you’d like, gently pull out the sections to create a puffed look.
You can add light waves to add a touch of texture to like look as well!
5. Dutch Braids
Similar to French braids, the Dutch braid adds a bit more depth to your braided look. While French braids lay on top of your head, Dutch braids sit on top of your head, standing out a bit more.
Instead of folding your hair over each other for a French braid, you’re actually going to pull the hair underneath each other to create the Dutch braid. This is such an easy hairstyle to do in a rush, and plus they look cool! You can do one braid down your head or one on each side.
6. Braided Crown
This is such an easy hairstyle and you’ll look like a goddess sporting it! This hairstyle will literally take you five minutes to do, so you can get back to worrying about the things that matter!
Section off two pieces of hair on the sides of your face and tie back the rest to keep down once you’re finished braiding. Braid both sides and secure with a clear elastic. Then, pull over one braid to the other side of your head and use a bobby pin to hold it in place. Do the same with the other and then let down your ponytail and you’re all set!
7. Half-up Bun
This may take the trophy as easiest hairstyle! As simple as this hairstyle is, it’s so cute and timeless. Pull your hair up into a half-up half-down style and secure with an elastic. Now wrap your ponytail around itself to create a messy bun. Secure with a clear elastic. Tie a hair scarf around your bun for a more vibrant look!
8. Half-up Braid
I’m sure you can tell that I love half-up looks, but that’s because all you have to really worry about is half your hair. The rest can be just left alone or straightened or curled!
Start from the crown of your head and start either a French or Dutch braid, but instead of pulling in your hair all the way down, stop toward the base of your neck and braid the rest down and secure at the end. You can curl the ends for a wavy look or leave your hair natural.
9. Teased Fuller Ponytail
This easy hairstyle is so versatile, you can make it elegant or you can keep it simple. Start by pulling half of your hair into a ponytail and secure it. Then tease the top part to create a fuller look (having wavy hair or curling your hair before helps a lot). Then pull the rest of your hair up into a ponytail and secure it as close as you can to the top one. Tease the ponytail underneath as well.
You can pull out a few strands to frame your face and gently pull at the top of your head to loosen the hair. It’s as simple as that!
10. Boho Braids
This is such an easy hairstyle when you feel like leaving everything natural! Leave your hair down and crunch or tease your hair a bit. Add a hair scarf around your head and tie at the nape of your neck.
Add in a few small braids to add a hippie touch to the overall look!
