Winter is a great time to experiment with your eyeshadow looks. Since you usually have your face covered with masks or scarves during the winter the only part of your face people can see are your eyes. Why not have some fun and wear some easy eyeshadow looks that are going to make your eyes pop against the cool tones of winter.
This eyeshadow look is a really easy one and requires only about 2 to 3 eyeshadow colors. The colors you need for this eyeshadow is light red, dark brown, and shimmery red. When you set down your base and transition colors start blending the light red all over your crease and eyelid. Once the red is down blend some of the dark brown on your outer crease to add some depth to the corners of your eyes. With a flat brush start pressing in the shimmery red onto your eyelid till your whole lid is covered. Have some dark brown on a blending brush and just blend out the edges of the shimmery red. Don’t forget to blend some red on your lower lash line and you’re good to go!
For this sleek eyeshadow look all you need is one vibrant color, preferably a holiday color like green or blue, and a white base. For the white base, you can use concealer, eyeshadow base, or white eyeshadow. Take a piece tap and place it at an angle on your eye to create the line from your lower lash line to the end of your eyebrow. Start by setting down your white base to create a blank canvas. With a flat eyeshadow brush start pressing in the color, you chose to make sure to fill in your lid and against the tape. Once you peel off the tape the shadow should come out a crisp line. If there are some messy edges just use a flat brush and some concealer to clean it up.
Now a cut crease can be pretty intimidating to beginners but it’s actually a really simple look and with practice can be perfected flawlessly. All you need is a light shimmery eyeshadow, a darker eyeshadow, a lighter eyeshadow color for blending, and your concealer. Start doing your eyeshadow normally by blending in the transition, light color than darker color all over your crease. Once everything blended takes your concealer and just place a dot on your eyelid. Look up and then down and you’ll see that the concealer made a mark where your eyes usually close so follow that mark and spread the concealer with a flat brush along that mark. You do this till the concealer is along your lid ending in a sharp cut at the end. Then take a flat brush start patting in the shimmery color all over where you place the concealer. Such an easy look to master for any eye type and now you have a beautiful cut crease.
For a festive eyeshadow look go for some blue eyeshadow with a shimmery silver one. Start by blending a lighter blue into your crease then gradually add the more vibrant blue to your crease then eyelid. You can make the blues really pop by setting down a white base first. After blending in the blue colors start placing the silver on your eyelid. Then with a flat brush start pressing it towards the inner corner of your eyes. To get the most pigment use your finger to place the silver onto your inner corner. Blend some blue on your lower lash line and you’re done. This look is very vibrant and perfect for the winter.
A smokey eye is scary for anyone starting with eyeshadow looks. It’s all about building up the darker colors slowly and gradually till you get the eyeshadow look you are trying to achieve. Start with light grey color and slowly start to build that up by adding a little bit of black at a time till the dark smokey eye is achieved. Take a black or dark grey shimmery eyeshadow and pat it on top of your eyelid. This will give the eyeshadow look that glossy look without having to use gloss on your eyelids. You also could get eye glaze to actually get the smokey glaze look but the shimmery eyeshadow is more long-lasting.
For this, you will need two vibrant eyeshadow colors. If you want to go for a holiday look then try using a red and green eyeshadow. This look is a little tricky to achieve but if you take your time it’ll be really easy to do. First, put down a white base so that the colors can pop. Blend around your crease and a little over the crease blending it into a winged look. You want to keep the lid space sparse so that you can add the second color over top. Using whatever white base you used previously, trace out the same wing shape you made with the red on the inside of the lid. Fill that in with white than over the white and pat in the green color. This will create a really unique looking two-colored cut crease.
This is a great beginner eyeshadow look because it’s something that every beginner can easily learn and do for their everyday makeup. To start off, gather your palette with all your warm tone browns and maybe reds. Start with a skin tone transition color on the crease to allow the other eyeshadows to blend well together. Then take a slightly darker brown tone and blend that into the crease. Once that’s done now blend on a brown color to the edge of the crease and on the edge of the eyelid. Apply concealer to the inner crease and blend into the center of your eyelid. Over the concealer pat on some gold or beige shimmer eyeshadow. With the dark brown you used, blend the edge of the shimmer eyeshadow. This look is flawless on anyone and is super easy to achieve.
