Easy Dinner Recipes to Make With Your Significant Other

If you and your SO are looking for something fun and easy to do for date night, look no further.  Making dinner is not only a bonding experience, but you can have a lot of fun with it too.  Making something you and your partner like is key and can be a great start to your night.  All you need are these dinner recipes, a few ingredients, some music, and a candle to set the mood.

Chicken Caesar Salad

This recipe is super simple, requires only a couple ingredients, and doesn’t take up too much time.  This dinner option is great if you want something on the healthier side.  All you need is some lettuce, chicken breast or shredded chicken, caesar dressing, croutons, and some shredded parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top.  My boyfriend and I love making simple dishes that will fill us up and also make us feel good about what we’re eating.  You can even have this salad as a side to a meal if you wanted something a little more hearty.  Dinner recipes also don’t always have to be complicated!

I love making salads because they are simple and you can have them for days after.  Salads are easy to just put into a container and take to work or class, keeping your lunch making stress-free.  Cooking the chicken is the most time consuming part, even though it only takes a few minutes.  Make sure to evenly season your chicken and check to make sure it is thoroughly cooked, then enjoy!

Smash Burgers

If you want a meal that will satisfy your carnivorous cravings, smash burgers are the way to go.  My boyfriend and I have been OBSESSED with these meaty sandwiches lately and I can’t recommend them enough.  They are pretty easy to make and are amazing if you make them the right way.  I love mine with some sharp cheddar along with some extra seasoning on the meat to add some extra flavor.

Grab some lean ground beef, the cheese of your choice (I also recommend pepper jack), some burger buns (preferably potato or brioche), and any other toppings you enjoy on your burger.  I find that sometimes its better to keep it simple and enjoy the flavor of the meat without adding any distractions. Because these burgers are thin, I normally double up on the meat and cheese instead of eating two burger buns.  These smashed patties are sure to make your tastebuds dance and they’re pretty fun to. make too.

Garlic Parmesan Pasta

Pasta is one of my favorite dishes to have for dinner and having an easy dinner recipe for it is crucial.  If you are a cheese lover like I am and absolutely LOVE carbs, you and your significant other may want to give this recipe a try for your next date night.  It is super simple and only requires one pot, so cleaning up will be a breeze.  All you need is butter, minced garlic, chicken broth, milk, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt and pepper, and of course, some uncooked fettuccine.

This recipe is not only delicious, but it goes easy on the fats and avoids using heavy whipping cream unlike some heavy sauces.  The best part about this pasta is that because it only uses one pot, all the delicious flavors of the sauce get to seep into the pasta, making it taste SO much better.  Adding a little extra parmesan cheese on top also won’t hurt anything.  Try this out the next time you and your significant other need a dish that will really wow you.

Honey Garlic Shrimp

Any recipe that includes shrimp has me super excited.  Shrimp is one of my absolute favorite foods and adding garlic and honey to it makes it ten times better.  This recipe is simple and only takes a small amount of prep.  If you are looking for a healthy dinner option that will make you feel good, giving this recipe a shot is a good idea.

For this simple recipe you’ll need honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, fresh minced ginger, uncooked shrimp (peeled and deveined), olive oil, and optional chopped green onions for garnish.  My favorite thing to pair with shrimp is rice and broccoli, which are both fairly easy to make.  I think my favorite part about this entire dinner recipe is that it only takes 20 minutes to make.  If all of my meals could take only 20 minutes to make my life would be perfect.  Try this recipe out the next time you want an amazing tasting dinner without having to put in too much work.

Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup

Do you love soup but don’t want to just keep making the same old same old soup from a can?  This recipe is super simple and is as easy at pouring a few ingredients into your instant pot.  I love chicken noodle soup and having a go-to recipe that takes very little time is something that has made making dinner super easy for me and my boyfriend.  Sometimes you just need dinner recipes for those days when you don’t want to put in a ton of effort.

For this recipe you’ll need an onion, olive oil, chicken broth, carrots, celery, minced garlic, black pepper, thyme, chicken breasts, egg noodles, and some salt.  Overall, this soup should only take you about 20 minutes of prep time and should be ready to eat in 55 minutes.  The best part of this dish is that you can save left overs and even freeze them to have in the future.  This recipe is great when you want to meal prep with your partner without having the frustration of cooking everything perfectly.  Your instant pot is basically a superhero when it comes to recipes like this.
