There are ten easy cocktails to make as a college kid. I know when I’m getting ready to go out I always struggle with my drink of choice. My drink making skills are limited to vodka cranberries and out of the jug margaritas. I’m getting bored with those being my only two options. It’s always the same thing, and I know I can do better. I’m no mixologist, but I have found a few drink recipes that are both tasty and easy to make. Now before hitting the bars, I’m able to make a cocktail that I enjoy.
A LIIT is one of those drinks that packs a real punch. First, fill your glass with ice and a splash of coke. In a shaker pour vodka, tequila, gin, rum, sour mix, triple sec, and shake it up. Once it’s shaken enough to your standards, pour it into your glass. It only takes a couple of these to catch a buzz.
A lemon drop is one of the easiest cocktails to make. It’s a three-step process, and it only takes vodka, triple sec, and lemon juice. In a martini (or any glass) add 2 ounces of vodka, 1/2 ounce of triple sec, and 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice. You’re bound to fall in love with this cocktail.
A tequila sunrise is a classic college student drink. Guess what they’re just as easy to make at home for the pregame. To make this easy drink mix 1 1/2 ounces tequila, 3/4 cups of orange juice, and 3/4 ounces of grenadine syrup. It’s so easy, and it’s a tasty recipe.
One of the easiest drinks to make as a college student is a classic rum and coke. All you have to do is pour your desired amount of rum over ice, and them splash some coke in there. Plus, rum is a tasty alternative to other alcohols.
This is an easy cocktail I’ve recently fallen in love with. When you combine the perfect amount of whiskey and sour mix, it’s 100% delicious. To make this simple drink shake, 1 1/2 ounces of whiskey, 1 ounce of lemon juice, 1 ounce sugar, 2 ounces water and then pour over crushed ice
My new favorite drink is a mojito; they’re refreshing and delicious. To make this easy drink combine 1 ounce of lime juice, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 cup of crushed ice, 12 mint leaves, 2 ounces of white rum, and 1 ounce of club soda. When making this drink make sure to mince the mint.
Remember when you were a kid, and all you were obsessed with were Shirley Temples? Well, that doesn’t change when you get to college. A Dirty Shirley is a tasty and easy drink to make. All you need is your favorite vodka, Sprite, and grenadine.
This year I’ve upgraded from margaritas out of the jug. I am now proud to say I can easily make a margarita, and you can too. To make this easy drink shake 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of fresh lime juice, 1/2 ounce of orange juice, 1/2 ounce of agave syrup, and pour it over ice.
A vodka soda or vodka tonic is the perfect cocktail to make as a college student. These are two of the healthiest drinks you can drink. To make these easy drinks mix your choice of vodka and either vodka soda or tonic. Top it off with a lime, lemon, or orange.
An AMF is a college classic. We usually order them at the bars, but it’s just as easy to make them at home. To make this easy drink shake 3/4 ounces of vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and blue curacao, 2 ounces of sour mix, and 1/2 ounce of carbonated lime beverage and pour it over ice.
