10 Drug Store Face Washes That Are Guaranteed To Get The Job Done

AY! I know you trying to get that good clean while you are balling on a budget! I feel you! These gentle cleansers are the best of the best our local drug store has to offer. I am sticking to gentle, noncomedogenic cleansers for this list because I have oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin! Love it! I have found the best kinds of cleansers for me are the ones that are gentle, moisturize me and keep it real (and simple). Even if you do not have the same type of skin as me, I think everyone can benefit from something simple. You can trust me because I am obsessed with this shiznit. These cleansers all stellar reviews for good reasons! Check em out!

1. Cerave Hydrating/Foaming Cleanser

Oily?! Dry?! Best of both worlds with Cerave! This facewash lives up to the hype. It does not disrupt the skin barrier but leaves your face feeling clean when you wash with it. This is because it has ceramides, which helps to maintain the natural skin barrier. Also, it contains Hyaluronic acid that hydrates your skin and niacinamide which calms skin redness. Let me mention it is FRAGRANCE-FREE. FRAGRANCES FACK UP YOUR FACE. These face washes are dermatologist’s dream. You really cannot go wrong with this cleanser.

2. Neutrogena Hydroboost Cleanser

One of my best friends, Paige, has dry skin and swears by this cleanser! Her dermatologist approves of this face wash for people with sensitive skin. Even though it is marketed to people with dry skin, any skin type can benefit from a little hydration because hydration saves this nation. Super gentle! Paige has NEVER had any crazy irritation from using this cleanser or other Neutrogena Hydroboost Products. Now THAT’S a stellar review.

3. Garnier SkinActive Micellar Foaming Face Wash

This FRAGRANCE-FREE (sorry not sorry I am a slut for fragrance-free skincare products) contains no parabens and sulfates! Micellar water has been gaining traction within the beauty world because of its ability to remove dirt, oil, and makeup gently. It leaves your face feeling clean, fresh and not-irritated. Screw irritation, because NOBODY has time for that.

4. Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser

This face wash has the triple threat of fragrance-free, non-irritating and non-comedogenic. It will not irritate your face or clog your pores whatsoever. Actually, it will do the opposite. It will lather your skin up with its foams to leave you feeling refreshed. This cleaner has also been clinically shown to do what it says it is going to do by dermatologists. This cleanser is backed up by science. Now that is the definition of legit.

5. Differin Balancing Cleanser

This face washes this the definition of gentle. It is formulated by dermatologists as well, ensuring that you will get the job done of cleaning your skin in the most natural way. It will not strip your skin of its natural oils but will remove dirt, excess oil, and makeup from the day. It also is PH balanced. This is hella important because when skin’s PH is thrown off, it can cause a plethora of skin problems. This cleaner has got you.

6. Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser

Gentleness is the name of the game and this cleanser is the champ. it is hypoallergenic, so it is safe to use on sensitive skin. It contains two types of glycerin, which is key because it holds onto to moisture in the skin. Another cleanser that has been developed by dermatolgist, this adds to its legitness factor. Who says gentle cleansers finish last?

7. Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser

This cleanser has the best of both worlds when it comes to a light exfoliation and a nondrying cleanser. This face wash is formulated with 1% salicylic acid which cleans out your pores, which is very important for people with acne-prone skin. (HOLLA AT YA GIRL). In addition, it contains charcoal which works to draw impurities out of the face. If not that is not enough, the tomatoes are rich in antioxidants, we need these in our skin to help our skin repair itself. Gotta give our skin the best.

8. La Roche-Posay Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Cleanser

Nothing gets me more hyped than hydration. This cleanser makes me hype because of the hydration it provides for the skin. It is milky and feels like soft lotion on your skin.  It also is fragrance-free, tested on sensitive skin, oil-free, B.S free (jk but it might as well say that), noncomedogenic, sulfate and parabens free. So what is even in its cleanser? Skincare goodness. That’s what.

9. Burt’s Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser

Burt’s Bees reigns supreme of producing natural products. This cleanser is not an exception, it is 98% natural. This is pretty impressive from skincare products since chemicals are added to face washes usually to preserve the product. It also is formulated with daisy extract to balance and brighten skin tone. It is made to help people with their dark spots and uneven skin tone, hence the name brightening cleanser. Tested by dermatologists, formulated without parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and sodium lauryl sulfate (which is found in most shampoos and is a skin irritant). Burt’s Bees for the win once again.
