How often do you treat yourself to some really great summer drinks? If your answer is not that much, then now is your time to treat yourself as much as possible since we are all stuck inside. There is a huge variety of summer drinks that you can make yourself that are simple and delicious. I have included recipes that have alcohol in them, but the majority do not have alcohol and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

So, whether you are stuck indoors trying to find something to do, or out in your yard enjoying the sun, these twelve summer drinks will give you something to do and cool you off from this hot summer weather. Once you taste them, you’ll want to make them over and over again. Enjoy!

1. Jolly Rancher Lemonade

I never thought of Jolly Ranchers as a drink flavor, but this summer drink is delicious and worth making every week. It is super simple to make and it can be enjoyed by the whole family. The only ingredients you’ll need for this summer drink are Jolly Rancher candies and lemonade. Put the desired amount of candy in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for one and a half minutes, then stir.

If you need, microwave candies for additional time until the candies are dissolved while stirring. Then place the dissolved candies into a pitcher of lemonade and then put it into the refrigerator until chilled. Easy peasy!

2. Poolside Slush

This super delicious mix is better than the Slurpees you can get at 7-11 and is the perfect slush to have while enjoying the hot sun outside. It takes ten minutes to make and you only need four ingredients. Here’s how to make it:

You need a medium fresh pineapple. It needs to be peeled, cored, and cut into chunks and then frozen. You need a package of blue Kool-Aid or Blue Hawaiian Punch, one cup of sugar for the Kool-Aid, and one cup of ice. Make Kool-Aid according to package. Then, in a blender, add in Kool-Aid, ice, and frozen pineapple chunks. Use the pulse button until the mixture is in a slush form.

3. Tropical Pink

This summer drink will be your next favorite and is so easy to make! Everyone in the family can enjoy this one together while having the perfect summer BBQ. All you need to make this summer drink is Grenadine, Pina Colada mix, and lemon-lime carbonated soda (or sprite).

This summer drink can be made in individual glasses for the people who want it, or you can make it in a large bowl like a punch. If you are just using a glass, then fill it halfway with ice. Add 1/2 tablespoon of Grenadine, 2 tablespoons of the pina colada mix, and 12 ounces of the lemon-lime soda. Mix with a spoon.

4. Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

If you are looking for the perfect backyard party summer drink for adults and kids, this is the summer drink recipe for you. If you are looking for an actual Strawberry Daiquiri, you can always make a batch that is just for adults, however, this one is for everyone and is just as delicious.

You’ll need four cups of frozen strawberries, one cup of fresh strawberries (sliced), one cup of simple syrup (chilled), 3/4 cups freshly squeezed lime juice, 1/2 teaspoon of rum extract, and for a garnish, one fresh lime sliced.

You’ll want to rinse off all of the fresh ingredients. Thaw the frozen strawberries for a minute or two. Slice the fresh strawberries and lime, and juice the lime for the summer drink. In a blender, add the fresh strawberries, simple syrup, lime juice, and rum extract. Blend until all is smooth. Then, slowly add in frozen strawberries and blend until there are no chunks left. Garnish your glass with a fresh strawberry slice and lime slice and enjoy!
