Memorial Day is nothing short of an emotional American holiday. Each year, on the last Monday of May, we dedicate a full day to remembering and honoring the fallen men and women who gave their lives to protect and serve the country they love.

In a way to show how much we love for our country and respect the sacrifice of soldiers who passed away fighting for it, we decorate around our homes, cars, and dress up with anything resembling the red, white and blue to in a way and show our patriotism. It is because of this that this day of remembering is also known as Decoration Day.

Many of us have lost someone we love to war and will be mourning and memorializing this coming Memorial day, but don’t really have an idea of how they’ll be decorating around the house or at the cemetery. We all love to maintain a luscious green lawn, but on Memorial Day, let your land represent the country our fallen heroes risked it all to protect.
