DIY Face Masks Because We All Want To Relax Right Now

Nothing tells everyone in your vicinity “I’m relaxing” like sporting an awesome face mask. Even if you’re doing some homework or working from home on your computer, you just somehow always feel more at peace with a face mask on. Maybe it’s just me, but I love that feeling. It’s also super fun and easy to make face masks at home, which can just add to the downtime effect. So, here is a list of DIY face masks that will totally help you relax.

1. Honey Coconut Oil Face Mask:

If you are looking for a face mask that will give you glowing skin and a supple, dewy look further than this honey and coconut oil face mask. That’s really all you need to get amazing skin, just those two ingredients! Honey is known for opening up your skin’s pores which can help you fight off acne. Honey’s antioxidants, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties help keep your skin clear and oily free. Both honey and coconut oil also help keep your skin soft and moisturized, which for anyone should be a bonus. Just mix these two powerhouse ingredients together and you’ll have a great face mask!

2. Rose Infused Face Mask:

Another great type of mask is one that is infused with rose oil or is made with rose oil clay. Rose oil is known for hydrating the skin, clears acne, reduces wrinkles, minimize the appearance of scars, and help with conditions such as rosacea and eczema. You can use rose oil on other parts of your body including your hair so you know it’s versatile and worth the investment. Rose oil can be added to any face mask but investing in some rose oil-infused clay to mix up your own rose mud mask would also be beneficial. It also looks amazing in your spa day Instagram photos!

3. Coffee Face Scrub:

A popular face scrub that I’ve been dying to try is the coffee faces scrub. It just looks so fun to apply (that’s got to be another part of the stress relief appeal, right?). To make this interesting scrub combine coffee grounds, coconut oil, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. You can also add about 5-10 drops of your favorite essential oil to give the face scrub a uniquely you feel. Coffee grounds have antioxidants that can help exfoliate the skin, increase blood flow, and balance PH levels. Brown sugar also helps exfoliate skin and keeps it radiant and healthy.

4. Aloe Vera Face Mask:

Most know that Aloe vera is a plant with tons of helpful benefits and properties, the most known being that it detoxifies the air as a house plant and the plants’ gel can be used to soothe burns. It also has tons of nutrients like vitamins A and C that make it super beneficial in a face mask. It is also super anti-inflammatory, so it can help with puffy skin and acne. An easy DIY aloe vera face mask you can try includes milk, aloe vera, and sugar.

5. Green Tea Face Scrub:

We all know green tea is great to drink. Many find it delicious and know that by consuming it, they are getting some beneficial nutrients. But you may not have known that you can use it green tea a face mask for a whole new group of health benefits. For this kind of mask, you’ll need coconut oil, sugar, aloe vera gel, and, of course, the green tea bags. Green tea can protect your skin from UV ray damage, premature aging, redness, irritation, and acne breakouts by fighting off bacteria. You can also add some vitamin E oil and Tea tree oil for extra nutrients for your skin.

6. Turmeric and Honey Face Mask:

What’s better than a combo of Turmeric and honey in a face mask? Maybe some things, but these super ingredients make one amazing and beneficial combo. Both ingredients have numerous helpful properties like protecting skin from oil buildup and acne breakouts, evening skin tone, brightening skin, and reducing redness and the appearance of certain skin conditions. You can make this face mask by mixing together greek yogurt, turmeric, and honey. You can even add some apple cider vinegar for some added skin-loving benefits. Then soon you’ll be marveling in your amazing, glowing skin afterward.

The avocado can also reduce lines and wrinkles as well as boost the immunity of your skin. They can really help moisturize your skin. Now you know that you can make a salon-worthy face mask with just a few simple items from the grocery store.

8. Charcoal Peel Off Mask:

Charcoal peel-off masks are all over Instagram because they are just so darn satisfying to take off. They’re often in high demand and are available through tons of different stores and beauty retailers, but you can make an even better one at home. 9. Acne Clay Mask:

Clay masks are tons of fun to put on. You just feel like you’re in a more relaxed mood when you have one on. Or at least that’s my experience. One of the most common skin problems is acne and what better way to combat acne then with an awesome clay mask? All you’ll need is some bentonite clay, apple cider vinegar, and lavender oil.
