DIY Photo Clock
I saw this idea on A Beautiful Mess and instantly fell in love! Who wouldn’t want a picture of their pet as a clock? I can just imagine my bull dog staring at me nonstop. For reference, he looks like this (needed two pictures to show his facial expression range):
So you can see why this would be a beautiful wall decoration. And, this is also something you can give as a gift, or just hang up on your own wall. Best part is this DIY clock is super easy! What you need for this project is glossy photo paper, glue, a foam board (1/8 in. thick), a clock kit, nail polish, x-acto knife, and a picture.
First, print your photo! The face has to be facing forward so that they can look as great as these clocks. You also want to make sure that it will look good as just a silhouette, and that it is about 6-8 in wide.
When it’s printed, glue your photo onto your foam board and use the x-acto knife to cut it out. If you have a knife similar to this, that should also work.
Now using the nail polish in whichever color you like, customize the hands of your clock from the clock kit. Make sure the color will look good on the photo! You can paint them all one color or add some patterns, though it’s hard when the surface is so small.
Now you just put it all together! Make a hole in the middle of the face to mount the clock kit (instructions will come with the kit). You can use paper dots to show where the numbers are (12, 3, 6, and 9). And you’re done!
I am seriously obsessed! Aren’t you?
