It’s almost September, which means it’s back to school season! And while you’re at school you’re going to need a bag with you to carry around books and school supplies. You can use a tote bag or purse, but I find they are either too small or I can’t keep them organized well. What I love to use are the good old-fashioned backpacks. Sometimes, however, it can be hard to find one that you like and fits your style. That’s why I’ve compiled a small list of ways you can customize or make backpacks!
1. Have a tote bag you really like? Convert it into a backpack!
Use one with a design on it or you can use a plain one and paint your own design, like they did in this tutorial. Check it out here.
2. Polka-dot Backpack
This one is really easy. Just use pins to decorate a colored backpack. No sewing required! Check out more info here.
3. DIY Backpack
I’m loving the chevron pattern used here but I’m sure you can use any pattern you want! As long as it fits the pdf file given in the tutorial. See the tutorial here.
4. Restyled White Backpack
Dying a white backpack and adding some decoration? Genuis. To get this project, go here.
5. Turn a plaid shirt into a Backpack
I love this! Having a plaid backpack would be perfect for this fall. Check out how to make it here.
6. Customize your bag
Have a plain, one color backpack? Iron on some patches or sew on some lace! Find patches that would match your style. See more here.
These are just a few ideas on how to make your own or turn an old backpack into a stylish new accessory! It can be as easy as just pinning or ironing on a few of your favorite decorations! Have fun!
