10 Different Things to Do This Summer in Memphis
Spending the summer in Memphis? Here are 10 great things to do in Memphis and the surrounding areas!
1. Go to the Collierville square.
The square is the perfect place to go relax, shop in cool shops, and eat at good local restaurants. My suggestion is to go get an ice cream float at the Silver Caboose!
2. Mural hunting
There are so many cool and unique murals throughout Memphis. Challenge
yourself, and see one day how many you can find.
3. GoApe Tree Course at Shelby farms
How awesome is it that we have an obstacle course in the trees in Memphis?? This is the perfect way to get a workout in, get outside, and experience something new.
4. Paddle Boarding at Shelby farms
Another way of using our great resource, Shelby Farms! They also have kayaks and canoes to rent at the recently redone lake, as well.
5. Go to the Big River Crossing walking bridge downtown
Sunset time is beautiful when the lights come on.
6. Kix on Beale
This is a free summer concert series hosted by Kix106! Check out the link here for
more details.
7. The Metal Museum
With 3.2 acres of land, the Metal Museum downtown is a unique place to explore. They
also give a student and military discount for admission!
8. Memphis Italian Festival. MIF this year is May 31-June 2, 2018
Great food, music, friends, shops, and more!
9. Jerry’s Sno Cones
Jerry’s has been popular for quite some time now, but it’s always a good idea to go here,
especially with the new location in Cordova. Try something new there besides the sno
cone. My suggestion is the chili cheese fries.
10. The Peabody Hotel Duck March
When is the last time you actually went to see the ducks march at the Peabody? Go check it out one day this summer, either at 11 am or 5 pm.
