8 Delicious Pizzerias In (Or Near) Pleasantville

We go to school in New York, which some would call the home of the best pizza. So why are most students settling for Dominos and the Kessel Pizza station? Next time you’re craving something cheesy try these Pleasantville Pizzerias instead.

1. Sal’s Pizza & Pasta

The most popular of Pleasantville Pizzerias, Sal’s is a Pace favorite. Not only for their various slices but also because they accept Flex!

And while it isn’t the closest, it is the one we see delivered most on campus, so they must be doing something right. They also deliver super fast for when you’re rushing to class and just need a slice.

Fun Fact they even have a gluten-free pizza option, and lots of vegetarian options too.

If you head over to 201 Marble Ave, get ready to see lots of Pace friends and lots of options.

My Favorites:

  • Creamy Pesto Pasta
  • Grandma Slice
  • Chicken Bacon Cheddar Ranch Wrap
  • Buffalo Chicken Salad

2. Lucio’s

Lucio’s also takes flex and has free delivery! But, delivery isn’t even necessary, it’s the second closest Pizzeria to Pace!

This is one of the best Pleasantville pizzerias because of it’s authentic taste. Coming from an Italian family I’m always skeptical of trying Italian food outside of my kitchen. But, Lucio’s proved me wrong. When I tried their Eggplant Parmigiana Roll it tasted (almost) exactly like my grandma’s.

Located at 76 Washington Ave, Lucio’s is a top choice for me.

My Favorites:

  • Eggplant Parmigiana Roll
  • Cheese Calzone (Also comes gluten-free)
  • White Pizza
  • Pepperoni Pinwill

3. Wood and Fire

While it is definitely the priciest on the list, it is most Pace students’ favorite place to eat. With personal pizzas that can actually feed four and so many types of pasta that you’d need to be a lifelong customer to try them all, you can’t go wrong with Wood and Fire.

Wood & Fire is more than a pizzeria. It is a restaurant with really good vibes. All their pizzas are made in a wood-fired brick oven, and all their drinks are specialty.

This restaurant is only a 25-minute walk from Pace and a 6-minute drive.

The address is  59 Marble Ave, and I highly suggest you treat yourself.

My Favorites:

  • The Marble Ave Pizza
  • Spinach Gnocchi Caprese
  • Nutella Pizza
  • Rigatoni Alla Vodka

4. Pleasantville Pizza

The closest Pizzeria to where the shuttle drops us off, yet not that many people know it’s there! Walk around the town of Pleasantville one day, you’ll find yourself pleasantly (😉) surprised.

The owner of this pizza place was actually born in France, so even before trying a slice, you know it is going to have a very authentic taste. Even with slices that aren’t plain or common I still taste that special, homemade taste.

The Pleasantville Pizzeria is perfectly placed right next to the train at 34 Wheeler Ave and it has outside seating for a perfect day.

My Favorites:

  • Buffalo Chicken Slice
  • Plain Slice
  • Garlic bread with Mozzarella
  • Spinach and Chicken Roll

5. Craft Pizza & Beer

This place is more of a going out type of pizzeria. A perfect place for Friday nights, especially if you’re over 21.

With each pie being thin crust it’s easy to make a whole meal that includes more than a pizza. Food isn’t the only thing with lots of options, the bar here has more beers and wines to choose from than most bars. The first time I ate here I was under 21, and I’ve been waiting for my next birthday to go back.

Waiting for you at 152 Bedford Rd, it isn’t the closest to Pace, but it is worth it.

My Favorites:

  • Margherita Pizza
  • BBQ Chicken Wings
  • Truffle Fries
  • Cannolis

6. Arthur Avenue Wood Fired Pizza & Catering

Another perfect place for a personal pizza. All pies are made wood-fired and some of the best I’ve ever tried. And if you love these pizzas enough, Arthur’s offers some take-home frozen pizza that is always freshly made.

It’s a pretty far walk to 210 Marble Ave, but if you have a car or don’t mind a bus ride, it’s only 7 minutes away. Not only does Arthur’s offer amazing pizza but, super fast service too. I never have to wait more than thirty minutes for my order, regardless of what it is.

My Favorites:

  • Cheese Pizza with Pepperoni
  • Tiramisu
  • Italian Wontons
  • House Made ChipWhich

7. Italia, Brick Oven Pizza and Restaurant

Its fancier than a common pizza place, but, it’s still a pizzeria and a great one at that. And the best part is, it also accepts flex. This isn’t of the Pleasantville Pizzerias, but Thornwood is still pretty close. A short drive over to 1010 Broadway Thornwood will be worth it.

With the option of a personal 10″ pizza or a regular 14″ pie, you’ll be more than happy with all of the pizza options. Whenever my friends and I want to go out somewhere, dress up somewhat cute, and spend not that much money, this is where we go.

My Favorites:

  • Garlic Knots
  • Mandarin Salad
  • Vodka Pizza
  • Fried Calamari

8. And when worse comes to worst… Domino’s

They accept Flex and deliver to Pace every single night. It’s our go-to late-night dinner. Closing at 3am Domino’s knows how to keep us coming. It’s not gross, it’s just tiring. But that’s why they have so many options. Don’t just get a plain pizza every time. Switch up your crust, cheese, sauce, and toppings, and soon enough you’ll be craving Domino’s and not just settling.

Trying more than their pizza is also a must. Domino’s has so many options, so many sauces, and so many types of food. Try outside of the box next time you order after a party.

My Favorites:

  • Cheesy Bread
  • Lava Cake
  • Spicy Jalapeno – Pineapple Chicken
  • A hand-tossed pizza with pineapple
