7 Delicious Gluten-Free Recipes You’ll Never Regret

It can be challenging to find satisfying meals that don’t include gluten, so those who are gluten-free need to save the good recipes when you find them.  Here are delicious gluten-free recipes you’ll want to add to your cook book!  Food is a necessity, so there’s no reason it should be so difficult to find food that you are able to eat, whether its dietary or genetics.  Here are some recipes that you can rely on!

1) Parmesan Risotto

This delicious gluten-free recipes requires Arborio rice, chicken stock, grated Parmesan, dry white wine, unsalted butter, kosher salt, black pepper, and frozen peas.  You’ll place the rice and chicken stock into a Dutch oven, covered, and bake for 45 minutes.  By the end of this, the rice should have absorbed most of the chicken stock.  The next step is to add the cheese, wine, butter, salt, pepper, and any remaining stock to the rice, and stir thoroughly.  The rice should be thick and creamy.  Finally, add the peas, and this dish is ready to eat.  This preparation is hands on, but definitely worth the effort.  And this risotto recipe is very easy to make variations on.  You can easily change it up day to day, with different ingredients like garlic, onions, or meats.   Don’t sit on this fantastic meal!

2) Clafoutis

There is no other dessert else like this fruit dish.  It requires a fair amount of ingredients, but you’ll find this sweet treat is worth all the effort put in.  What’s even better is how you can make variations with your favorite fruits.  While blackberries or blueberries are common choices, clafoutis is still excellent with raspberries, strawberries, or whatever else you want to try.  For this gluten-free recipes, you’ll need milk, granulated sugar, divided eggs, vanilla extract, a small amount of salt, rice flour, and the fruit of your choice.  Begin by putting the all ingredients besides berries (milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, salt, and rice flour) into a blender.  Blend them on high until its smooth, and pour most of the batter into a greased pan.  You’ll heat that mixture on stove top until a thin film forms at the bottom, after which you’ll spread out your berries and cover with the remaining batter.  Place your pan into the oven at 350 degrees for a little less than an hour, until it starts to turn brown.  This desert is both light and satisfying, and served well either hot or cold, or even with a side of ice cream.

3) Potato-broccoli soup

This hearty soup is quick and simple, making it an excellent choice for a lunch or part of a larger meal.  For this soup, you’ll need red potatoes, chicken broth, milk, broccoli, rice flour, shredded Gouda, and winter greens like romaine or spinach.  To start off, you’ll combine the potatoes and broth in a saucepan, simmering the mixture and mashing it lightly.  While keeping it at a simmer, mix in the milk and broccoli.  In a separate bowl, you’ll toss the cheese and rice flour together, and add it slowly to the broth.  It’s important that the cheese melts well before you add more, to give the soup a good consistency.  You can top off your soup with some extra cheese and your greens, to taste.  This creamy soup can be amazingly comforting, and can satisfy palates of even the more picky eaters.

4) Crepes

Many who eat gluten-free find themselves missing all the flour based foods that are so common.  These crepes are so delicious that you’ll forget that there’s any difference at all!  These delicacies are simple and easy to make.  You’ll need milk, butter, eggs, and rice flour.  Start by whisking the eggs, adding in melted butter and milk, and finally rice flour, while continuing to whisk.  Then, you’ll pour your crepe batter into a hot pan, flipping them when the batter starts to bubble.  Make sure you pour them evenly for nice, round crepes.  And that’s all there is to it!  Serve them sweet with jams or chocolate spread, or have them savory with salmon, cheese, meats, or whatever else you’re feeling.  There are many fusion cuisine crepes or just go with the classics.  Whatever you choose, these crepes will serve you well.

5) Christmas salad

This salad is known for being served during the holiday season, but is excellent any day of the week.  For this recipe, you’ll need lettuce/mixed greens, a pear, crumbled goat cheese, candied pecans/walnuts, dried cherries, balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt.  Start the recipe with the dressing, by mixing the balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, olive oil, mustard, and salt.  This can even be made a day or two in advanced and stored in the fridge.  Then its as simple as tossing the rest of the ingredients together.  This salad is very sweet and satisfying, and even works well if you’re missing an ingredient or two.  You’d be forgiven for thinking that this salad is a dessert.  And if you want to take that extra step, you can candy your pecans/walnuts at home.  This is as simple as heating some butter, sugar, and nuts of your choice in a skillet, making sure that every nut gets a good coating of the sugary mixture without burning.  Once they’re all coated, place them on cooking parchment and separate, so none of the nuts stick together.  This delicious salad is a must-eat.

6) Almond Joy Cookies

Cookies are another food that many gluten-free eaters may miss, but these cookies are so simple and tasty that they easily make up for the real thing.  They only need four ingredients: coconut flakes, sweetened condensed milk, almonds, and chocolate chips.  All you need to do is mix these ingredients thoroughly until they all stick together.  Then scoop out balls of the dough onto parchment paper, and flatten the balls into discs.  It may help to wet your fingers with this part, since the batter is sticky.  Then, stick them in an oven at 325 degrees for about fifteen minutes, and these cookies are ready!  Try not to eat the whole batch right there!  If you don’t, these cookies can last a while, so you can stockpile them for the future.

7) Flourless Chocolate Cake

Our final gluten-free recipes is by far the richest of our options here.  For this flourless cake, you’ll need semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chip cookies, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, salt, espresso powder, vanilla extract, eggs, and Dutch cocoa powder.  You’ll want to microwave the butter and chocolate chips until soft, and mix them together.  Then, transfer this mixture to a mixing bowl, and stir in the sugar, salt, vanilla, and espresso powder.  Add the eggs, beating them in until smooth, followed by the cocoa powder.  Finally, you should pour this batter into a parchment-lined cake pan, and bake it for twenty-five minutes at 375 degrees.  This cake is so strong and delicious, it outright beats any other chocolate cake.  And if this cake is somehow not enough alone, you can add many delicious frostings or glazes– not that you’ll need those.
