You’ll then submerge them in water, cover the bowl, and leave them in the fridge to soak overnight. Then, pour your water, apricots, and sugar into a blender. Blend it all until smooth. You can dilute it with more water if you wish, but otherwise, your Qamar Al-Din is ready for drinking!
The Caipirinha is a famous cocktail from Brazil. To make this fruity drink, you will need a half of a lime, 2 teaspoons of sugar, and 2 ounces of cachaça, a Brazilian sugarcane spirit. You should cut your lime into wedges, and place them into a cup along with your sugar. Muddle these well, and top off with cachaça. Feel free to add garnish with a slice of lime, and try not to drink this cocktail too fast!
Genmai-cha is a brown rice-based tea from Japan. It is sometimes called “popcorn tea”, since in making it, some rice grains will pop. This tea is considered an easy flavor for people, and helps with stomach issues. For this drink recipe, you will need 4 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of brown rice, and 4 teaspoons of green tea leaves. Begin by darkening the rice in a small skillet, until dark spots appear on the kernels. Pour in your water, which will be brought to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and simmer for a minute. Remove it from heat, but let the mixture sit for a few minutes. Add the tea leaves, and let the tea steep for a few more minutes. Strain, and this calming tea is ready to serve.
Despite it’s vividly pink appearance, this drink is not fruity at all. Instead, this creamy cocktail tastes more of almonds and chocolate. This recipe requires 3/4 an ounce of crème de noyaux (an almond liqueur), 3/4 ounce white crème de cacao (a chocolate liqueur), and 2 ounces of heavy cream. Lighter creams or milks make fine substitutes. All you need to do is pour these ingredients into a cocktail mixer, along with some ice, and shake thoroughly. Strain and serve right away.

To make this beverage, you’ll need 2 ounces of tequila, 1/2 ounce of lime juice, 4 ounces of grapefruit soda, and some salt to line your glass rim. Just add your tequila and lime juice to a cup, and top it off with your grapefruit soda. This is a beloved drink in Mexico, known for being refreshing and sweet. Some people even make it by using grapefruit juice and club soda, giving you the option of picking either red or white grapefruit.
Another beverage with tomatoe juice as an ingredient, a Michelada could be considered the Mexican version of a Bloody Mary. To make yourself a Michelada, you’ll need Clamato juice, a beverage that uses tomato juice and various spices. Fill your glass with ice, and pour in your alcohol and squeeze out the juice from the citrus wedge. Get ready to gulp down this midwest treat!
Asaana is a drink featuring caramelized corn, originating from Ghana. For this drink recipe, you’ll need about 2 cups of corn kernels, 4 cups of sugar, and milk. If your corn isn’t already, chop it into small kernels, and then submerge it in water. You’ll leave it submerged for 3 days, to let it ferment. Once it’s done fermenting, pour it into a large saucepan, along with water, which you will bring to a boil for a little under an hour. Put sugar into a saucepan, under a medium heat.
