Having a date night with your significant other can become a bit difficult with the pandemic, especially with many places closed. This means couples will have to find new and safe date ideas that they can have in the comfort of their own home. Luckily, there are tons of ways you can have a fun and romantic date night with the things you have at home. You can dedicate your night to one activity, or you can do a couple of fun activities throughout the day. Here are some fun and easy date nights you can have right at home.
Cook Yourselves Dinner
If you miss having a sit down meal at a restaurant, you can still do that with the food you make at home. You can prepare the ingredients for a more fancy or complicated meal, or you can make some simple comfort food from the ingredients that you have at home. Afterwards, you can set up a candlelit table with music and wine for a relaxing and romantic dinner in the comfort of your own home, also saving you a ton of money.
Movie Marathon
One of the most relaxing and effortless ways to spend a night with your partner is to simply put on a set of movies. You can pop some popcorn and get out some other snacks, blankets and pajamas to have a cozy night of your favorite movies. You can put on a series of movies from the same storyline or franchise or you can turn on a few of your favorites. Either way, you can’t go wrong with a good lineup of films, snacks and blankets.
Spa Night
If you’re looking for a relaxing night, try making yourselves a spa at home. Bring home some face masks, oils, serums, and exfoliants to help give your skin some relaxing rejuvenation. You can turn on your essential oil diffuser, light some candles and turn your bathroom into a relaxing atmosphere. This can help you destress for a second, and give you and your partner the skin boost you might need.
Have A Baking Session
If you want to cook but don’t necessarily want to create an entire meal, or you have a bit of a sweet tooth craving, you can always bake a sweet treat. You can bake from scratch or you can bake from a mix and create something sweet for you and your partner to enjoy. You can go for something more simple, like a classic sugar or chocolate chip cookie, or a nice warm brownie, or you can experiment with a more creative or complicated recipe. Either way, you’ll end the night with a delicious dessert to enjoy with your partner.
Game Night
There are so many fun ways you can spend a game night. You can play a few board games, such as Monopoly, The Game of Life, or Twister. If you want to play a video game instead, you can have a competitive night with some Mario Kart, or perhaps play some Mario Party. You can also play some Among Us in a public lobby. Whatever you decide to do on your game night, the friendly competition will surely bring some funny moments for you and your significant other.
Karaoke Night
If you and your partner want to have some fun and perhaps embarrass each other a bit, a karaoke night can be a fun way to spend your night. You can find karaoke videos YouTube and sing your favorite songs, or you can watch a musical or movie with some of your favorite songs and perform them as you watch. A karaoke night can be a fun way to let loose and be a bit goofy with your partner.
Throw Yourselves A Dance Party
If you want another way to get goofy with your partner, throw on some music and just dance around. If you and your partner used to go out to clubs or bars on the weekends, this can be a great way to safely make up for those lost weekend nights of dancing. You and your partner can throw on your favorite playlist and get crazy with your dance moves for a fun and energetic night.
Take Some Funny Buzzfeed Quizzes
If you’re looking for a fun and lowkey date night with your significant other, try grabbing some snacks and taking some fun personality quizzes on Buzzfeed. It might teach you more about each other, and you can both compare your results as the night goes on. It’s a very simple evening to plan, and you can take them from the comfort of your bed or couch.
Watch The Game
If your favorite team is playing one night, turn it into a date night! Get some takeout or cook yourself a quick dinner and cuddle up blankets as you turn the game on. This can be an incredibly relaxing and effortless date night and it’ll feel even more rewarding if your team comes away with a win.
Binge Watch A New Show
If you and your partner are interested in starting a new show together, perhaps date night is the perfect time to start. You can grab some snacks, wine, blankets and pajamas and curl up for the pilot. It’s the perfect way to spend a lazy night with your partner and enjoy a new series together.
Make S’mores Over Your Fireplace
If you want a way to cozy up near your fireplace, wood stove or fire pit, grab the marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate and make some s’mores right in the comfort of your own home. It’s an easy way to make a sweet treat and saves room for some more fun activities throughout the rest of the night.
